Gtxx: I haven't really figured it out yet - just started thinking about this tonight (I promised writing a manual would be the next step ![]() Ow, and it would still be possible to let others edit it. Because the texts themselves are very simple to edit. I could give it to people who offer to help (and then merge their changes into my own version), or even make the texts available online and update the manual immediately when texts have been updated. |

@ Hans What is the reason that you keep your old naming scheme for official releases without any hint of version inside the name of the files ( in contrast to the way I think, we all have learned to like during the epic beta testing period) ? Ok, everybody can see that these files are version 6.00 on the download page. But when already downloaded it is (later) not clear what version it is, because it is always the same name (for every version). For sure it is no problem to rename every file for my own use and my archive, but this leads to the unwanted phenomenon that I have to change automatically the file information about the "Modified" date. So there is always the question if the files were changed by me or by someone (or something ![]() I know some other programmers and publishers do it the same way (without version info inside the name of installers). Personally I prefer to have a concrete version info inside the name, so I rename every installer from others too to add this info. Especially if you get a download link from an external site there is always the doubt if you are actually downloading the latest version (without the version info inside the name) ? Is it just me, or do you (question @ all) rename those files too ? |

Please also add auto triggering to the scopes from your todo list. - eldoradofm: When i send a sine tone through the processing chain, i can see the sine tone on your oscilloscopes. But because it isn't triggered it doesn't stand still. When it is triggered it's nicer to look at it and you can see distortion more easy. - Look up how 'triggered' oscilloscopes work |

Is this what michi was talking about? - eldoradofm: When i send a sine tone through the processing chain, i can see the sine tone on your oscilloscopes. Michi95: Yes and no. I once started with including the version number in the file name (at the time it was version 2.0, hence the file name was dsp_stereo_tool_installer_20.exe) - the problem however is that there are STILL many sites that link to that executable. So right now you'll automatically get the latest version (6.00) if you download this file. The advantage of NOT having different names is that external sites can just place a link once, and don't need to update. As you may have seen on the download page, older versions are available with the version number in their names! eldoradofm/Gtxx: Triggered scopes is on my todo list. Michi95 suggested something else: A view where you can see a large part of history, which is very useful to see spikes. Gtxx: Yes, something like that. |
