heh
if i put slider to clean highs now there a super small distortion on highs .. but it's surely acceptably.
But now lows are bit higher. So this is even better now.

is prelimiter maybe do this to highs tones all the time !? possibly.

No, it really was the Loudness filter.

I think I'll keep the clear highs/deep bass slider then, but extend the range a bit so you can set it a bit lower.

By the way, the BETA's are now also available, but I don't think a comparison is necessary anymore. Especially with the extended range of the deep bass slider. (Which is coming tonight...)

Almost there - I think I can release version 4.0 tomorrow!

Winamp DSP plugin: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... _BETA2.exe
Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... _BETA2.exe
Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... _BETA2.exe WORKING AGAIN
VST version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... _BETA2.dll

I have increased the range of the deep bass slider, feedback on the best possible value is welcome (again... I know...). The value is now saved to disk.

My todo list for tomorrow:
- Add "warm and smooth" preset
- Go through the presets and see if I should make any changes
- Check if I can improve the performance of Normal and Low quality mode if both Loudness and Pre Limiter are turned on by ALWAYS bypassing the final limiter in that case.
- Fill in a default value for the "clean highs/deep bass" slider.

It should not have changed in the last version...

Do you mean the pre limiter level, compared to the level from this afternoon (first version where the change-in-volume problem was fixed)? If so, that's true, I made a mistake and I accidentally put it on compressing instead of limiting. And then the output level is lower, unless the input level is really high. But that was already fixed in the version with the louder lows from a few hours ago.

nope.
this now comes not from pre limiter.. prelimiter works stable now (i think) .. but for same level (compared last 2 betas) now again i lower loudness from 2.7 to 2.2.

and this ... hehe -51dB
Image

edit:
nope.. i was wrong.. level is ok .. but ...
now if i save any preset with loudness .. and load it again .. it turn off loudnes.. and if i set some loudness and restart ST loudness is off.

This is it! Sounds perfect. I don't think you need to change a thing as far as the sound goes. Looks like a release to me. ;) Great job as always.

I mixed up the values of the deep bass and the loudness itself... Which is why you're getting such strange loudness values.

I'll upload a fix tomorrow morning (if the build doesn't fail tonight - my harddisk is almost full :( )

Any suggestions for the default position of the deep bass slider?
