Yes, I saw that Hans. 42 people have looked at the post and apparently not 1 of them is using ST with the Trace Alpha on Win 7 32 bit--nor do any of the 42 know anyone who is. Appreciate the attempt to help Oldiesstation :)
I don't know if I can help here but I will try. None of this really answers your question entirely though.

I have been testing Stereotool SA on a Win 7 32bit machine with a Marian Trace 8 and then subsequently a Seraph 8 without any really major headaches. (This machine doesn't run 24/7 but has seemed OK so far?)

I have also had experience running a Trace Alpha on Win 7 32 bit which has seemed fine so far too. (This machine is not running Stereotool, just going to be used used for general play out etc.)

Sorry I can't help out more. If things don't work out for you, you could possibly try changing the OS to XP?

Thank you for weighing in on the subject. The gotcha in this case is that the source of the computer doesn't recommend XP with the motherboard that will support the i5-4670 processor that I want. So I'm left with the processor I want with Win 7 32 bit or a more expensive computer with XP and a less powerful processor. That's what's driving me in the quest to be confident with a Win 7 32 bit choice.
