Ok, I'll treat this as the todo list :( :

I had not checked the presets this time because the next step will be to add the new multiband - and that means that most presets will need to be redesigned anyway...

- I don't know if the buffer isue is solved when switching in recent preset files? Haven't test it since I mentioned it - Not urgent, later...
- And some preset updates you mentioned in 7.03 never happened (I think)
- If you want you can put in the Andrea web version in this version 7.04?
- Posted update to Cobalt preset.
- The meter of the new singleband is not showing at the overview meters at the bottom. And if you click the meter it shows you the old singleband.
- And I just found out that there's a bug in "Smart Peak" mode - the peak level of the output exceeds the selected level occasionally. With traditional 'Simple Peak' mode this does not happen.
- is channel separation fixed, so it can be used in peek mode at 0 ?
- Possible to add same new copmpressor after AGC? (compressor1 and compressor2) - Later
- Yes, new compressor not showed in bottom "SB" bar, but also should be forbidden to use both old and new compressor in same time (if old stays)
Look-Ahead? :)

Huh? Which one? Do you mean the Advanced vs normal interface?

Now it sounds a lot better. Build is running. Band frequencies and filter steepness (big effect on the audio!) are configurable now.

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 04-031.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 04-031.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 04-031.dll

Changes:
- Singleband: Only one can be active; active SB is displayed in bottom of screen
- New Multiband added. Enabling it also disables the old one.

Note: There seem to be some issues in the compressor, which also affects the multiband compressor. See todo list (a few posts back). Will check that tomorrow.

10-15% load INCREASE with the new multiband.

:sigh:

Offer still stands for profiling, but I have to have the debug files.

Sound is much better though. I just quickly created some new MB settings based on the Big-O preset, and the result sounds warmer, highs usually sound better (but not always, I hear breathing in some cases, not sure yet why, maybe the highs band is too wide). Also there's in many cases less distortion (in some cases slightly more). Some more tweaking is needed but in general I think this new MB sounds a lot better than the old one.

What I really like is the possibility to make the bass much more constant, by lowering the bass threshold a lot (I'm using 30 dB!) and increasing Band mix to between +10 and +20 dB. The second band needs a much smaller reduction of the threshold and much smaller band mix increase.

About the performance: With the new multiband that unnecessary code is gone! Memory usage is also greatly reduced. There are some optimizations possible.

- SOMEBODY GIVE THE LORD A HANDCLAP ! -

As far as i can hear on my works laptop, it has good sound, will be making a preset this evening.

- What is the CH slider ? (is this band couple ?)
- Normaly you can 'ease' the sound by using the "HOLD" parameters, at this moment it doens't do much, so i could be the hold times are a litle to less. (should be longer perhaps) ?
- What does STEEP do ?
- Is there a reason for the four collored band VU meters ? do the collors have meanings ?

Keep up the good work Hans !
[DUTCH] Ga je nog het Kuussegat in dit weekend, of voor jou geen carnaval ?
Ik ga wel even de optocht kijken bij moeder dit weekend. [/DUTCH]

Groeten Jeroen.
