Not programmed yet. All the other settings can be stored as a single value, and this is very different, so I need to figure out how to save it first.

Maybe an option to give the sidechain just a few good (logic) settings in stead of an fully configurable spectrum ? a) This is tricky, since it can also be a discredit to the overal perfomance when it is not ajusted properly. b) This way storing the side chain setting should be possible ? (I assume im not an programmer) In general i am against options wich can discredit StereoTool, this way 'people' can not mess up the sound. But i guess Hans already knows my oppinion ![]() ![]() |

Quote: I insist my last say, on the Side-Chain, in that it might be more practical to use different types of filters (LPF, HPF, Parametric EQ, etc.), with parameters such as the cutoff frequency, slope and gain.
Not sure if you understood Hans' limitation. Hans is maintaining all other parameters in Key-Value hash-map kinda way. To store dB gain attenuation levels for multiple frequencies all against a single key is not trivial if the underlying parsing/validation can not support such a corresponding value. This would be easier to save the settings as well. The graphic equalizer is not very practical. It is my opinion. ![]() 1. Simple approach: Limit the maximum number of frequencies which can be assigned - like multi-band processor to say 10. Have parameters for each such frequency. OR 2. Use a single comma separated value - something like this: ((40, 6), (120, 3)....) i.e. (Frequency, Gain/Attenuation) |

Quote: I would expect the VST plugin to be restarted before each file conversion...
Actually that assumption falls somewhat in a grey area. Most batch encoding tools do reset/reload the VST plugins for each new file conversion. Some provide the option to reset or not reset eg Foobar's VST plugin. And some which load the plugin just once until the application exits - mostly ones which encode in diskwriter fashion. I use J River Media Center diskwriter output. So, I was wondering if you could bring the option back. In either case it won't hurt - those who don't need this can simply keep it disabled. |

hmmm strange,in the last BETA the buffers are in te same position......exept when i use the "new singleband",then the buffers are running to zero and ST stops for a second of two and reload.......Is this normal? (standalone version) |
