I tried beta 16.

Good news: Essentially the same CPU load (within 5%)

Not really bad news, just a preference: I really liked the previous UI's capability of providing an at-a-glance overview of everything going on, and if you need to know more, you drill down on the individual component. This UI makes you have to "work harder" if your preference is to see a high-level view first.
For new users I think it was really way too much. And it was getting more and more problematic to make it fit on a (smaller) monitor. But are you talking about the old main window or the subsections? Because currently in the main window you can actually see *more* than before - if you choose the bottom view with meters.

Yes, the main window, but I realized that by clicking on the nondescript right arrow, it changed the lower portion of the window.

Suggestion: At least put some sort of label on the thing...

Bug: Every now and then the X to close to tray does not respond, and when that happens, eventually the entire interface is non-responsive, with only minimize and maximize working.

DSP version (Winamp). Windows XP SP3.

I'm still used to the last one as well... But this new one should - especially for new users - be MUCH more organized and clear. (For example, just look at the old Loudness window and then at the new interface.) At least that's the idea. If it's not, please let me know why!

Some bug fixes and small improvements. Also more skinnable stuff.

- Meter background with image (skinnable)
- Different skin for bottom
- Make volume red for overshoots
- Synchronized input/output level meters and added pre-emphasis display
- Redesign RDS display (Bojcha's idea: http://i.imgur.com/6lUjV.png ) (Not completely done, might add other things later)
- FM hiss display in overview
- FM hiss display still needs to be converted to the new interface.

- Check if it's possible to make the button sizes less different (change max zoom depending on window size, so the buttons don't get huge on a small window but still fill the screen on a big one). Not really great, but there are some more limitations than before now. Unfortunately the only effect is that the buttons don't fill the screen horizontally.
- Add limitation to horizontal aspect ratio.

B017. Dragging the window resize handle to minimise the height of the window to the smallest size, crashes the GUI every time. Win XPSp3.

Yes if you make it too small it crashes. I've also noticed a few hangups tonight, not sure yet what's causing that.
