I just tried it here without issues. Was the previous beta ok? Do you know when this broke?

Hmm. Before updating to the latest beta, it was also not working on my previous install, which appears to be 10.01-001 if the version in my old downloads folder is correct. I'll try some other versions and see if I can't figure out approximately when it broke here. edit: I went back to [WatchCat Version 2.0.3 (build b3839d0) / build date Oct 22 2021] and I have the same result. This is confusing. Tried another format and it works. I'm trying to process a non-float 32-bit ogg vorbis file. Perhaps this filetype is incompatible? edit2: Hmm, I was able to get it working by providing a different file type. |

It looks like it broke quite a while ago (BETA028 was already broken, version 10.00 was ok). I'm going to continue testing to see if this is the only issue. It did break due to I/O rewrites. Edit: At least on my system, it's working again in debug mode (release mode already worked, but for exceptions in release mode you never really know when they pop up or when they are ignored. I'll run a new build tonight, I hope that this will fix the issue. Version 2.0.7 is the WatchCat version. But I guess you mean, make the version number identical to that of Stereo Tool? We also release them together so that would actually make a lot more sense... |

It's more to display the build version to know if we run a stable release or beta (when we test beta), it's the same info diplayed and yes like you compile in the same time as STT may be good to align version. |

BETA045 is posted, WatchCat should work normally again. We have also made some small GUI changes that make it possible to reset values faster, and changed the cursor keys behavior slightly. |

Nice. Now Watchcat actually tries to process the file I give it and tells me when there's a bad sample error. Before it would just create an "empty" shell file (ogg, etc) and move the original to the Processed subfolder. Now it appropriately moves it to the Failed subfolder. While I'm still unable to process the audio in this particular file (mkv), I now know why. |
