Ever since beta 29 for 9.92, using VST2-32 with Adobe audition 3, when I open Stereotool. all I see is a blank white screen. I just tried it again today with beta 67. Is this a known problem? Ted Alexander W8IXY |

Hi, no, this is not a known issue. I just tried it here (in a different version of Audition), and here it opens fine, but with a too small window. Aside from that everything seems to work fine.Ted Alexander W8IXY Can you send me your VST .ini file in a PM? It's usually in C:\Users\username\vst_stereo_tool.ini Edit: I found a bug that explains the wrong window size. I don't know if this also causes the white screen on your end, but it might. I'll run a new build tonight. Do you know if it started in exactly BETA029? That one is pretty old (several months), and I don't see any size-issues in that version, they were introduced later (about 2 weeks ago). |

BETA068 is posted; only change is the fix for the VST display size for the old GUI. |

Oh! I misunderstood your earlier post - I thought version 29 was the first one that *didn't* work. So, does this mean that 030 was already broken? I just looked through all the code changes between 029 and 031 and I don't see anything suspicious.The .ini file looks really old - the last version that wrote to it was version 9.10 from several years ago. So I think there's a newer .ini file (did you rename the VST DLL?) Are you loading existing settings or are you creating a new VST plugin instance in Audition? If you're loading existing settings, something in those settings might trigger the crash. I have sent you a PM. |

Hi Hans. I didn't see a PM. (It may have been caught in my spam folder and deleted.) I hadn't been loading every Beta, just the several I mentioned before. The first problem I had was with BETA 35, which was the Beta I loaded after 29. I have kept a VST DLL file in a folder in one of my drives for several years now. I just add each BETA I download to that file/folder. Should I start a new folder? Or should I delete the old .ini file completely and start over? How do I change the latese .ini file? I appreciate your advice. I know I still use the old Adobe Audition 3 VST2. It does everything I need it to do, nothing more,nothing less. Ted Alexander w8ixyw8ixyw8ixy@gmail.com |
