@ Hans

It is still impossible to use Natural Dynamics (maybe other hidden settings too ?) with the VST version.
Ok, you can load a STS with ND enabled, but whenever you use the traditional VST .fxp preset system or any other internal system of the host applications the hidden Natural Dynamics settings get lost (with latest Beta versions and with Beta 77 the last version with visible Natural Dynamics in the GUI too).

So you can use it (Natural Dynamics with the Stereo Tool VST version) for realtime listening (using STS presets), but not for traditional processing (offline, batch rendering), because all the host applications I know always perform an initial settings reset and apply the (internally stored) settings before the rendering process starts.

And I still think (agree with someone that has asked for this change too), that the GUI value change resolution in Multiband for +/- EQ gain and Clipping (relative to soft limit) settings is too unsubtle (I have to manually edit STS preset to use smaller steps).
All other settings in Multiband have very fine value change resolutions (using the mousewheel or the arrow keys of the keyboard) - some even with multiple 00000 values ! (I like it this way - if you do not have the time you can always use the mouse pointer instead to drag the slider in the GUI) !

For both (+/- EQ gain and Clipping) I would recommend to have a value change resolution of +/- 00.01 using the mousewheel.
If anyone do not need such small steps he/she can use the mouse pointer to drag the slider in the GUI.

Still kind nervous to try a beta version with my SAM stream/station (currently using 6.10), but I'm anxiously awaiting the release version.
If there's a version that seems to be pretty close to perfect, I'll upgrade - I'd love to try the Declipper option...
Thanks Hans for all the hard work!

You can safely try BETA133. It's a release candidate.
Maybe tonight we get the final version, source: viewtopic.php?f=10&p=13741#p13741

How about the post directly above mine?
I also would need to get a key for the Declipper...
Thanks!

You can ignore it, because it is irrelevant (except for people that want to use the VST version and the hidden Natural Dynamics module for rendering).

Whoa! beta 133... Hans deserves his name in Guinness. Just have the impression my active involvement decelerates the beta release frequency. Probably it's in the interest of the forum that I should remain dormant and check once in 2 months or so...

Just a quick answer to michi's query about usage of VST plugin...

I've always had qualms for this issue(didn't voice it in the forum though). And honestly, I feel the culprit is Stereo Tool VST interface. Often you'd observe bringing up the host application and loading a preset from 'Frequently used presets list' does not load all the values optimally. However if I reload the preset using the Load button subsequent times, values are loaded corectly.
To circumvent this, I use Foobar to transcode my files using George Yohng's VST wrapper. There's an option which prevents the DSPs to be reset between tracks.
J.River Media Center allows the same, though it can not encode on the fly. It merely writes to WAV files.

Using Foobar, however, you can only encode one file at a time (unless you are running more than one instances of Foobar). I mean you can not utilize all the cores that your processor has (something dBpoweramp is capable of).
