Here's a description of all the attributes and other things you can use in the RDS texts:

http://www.myplugins.info/winamp-wiki/d ... formatting

Seeing how complex the formatting is, I doubt that any other player except Winamp itself has completely implemented all this.

Update:
- Luke: No ghosting option added. Left click a few times and you'll get: Normal display - no display - display without ghosting - normal display again .... . I must say this is a useful option - I already used it when looking at Bojcha's bass problem...

Superb Hans, not an easy on to discover.

I could make it configurable from the "Configure audio and display" window, but I'm not sure if it's much easier to discover there. Clicking on the display is also how you change the waveform display in the Winamp main window.

Of course I could also do both...

Hans wrote - 02.Apr 2009: Add your Bypass button. By the way, would it be useful to also have one to bypass everything except the FM pre- and de-emphasis and output? (Problem: Without the Final Limiter that would cause overshoots in the signal, so I probably need to keep that one on, with the volume set to 1.00....)

So is it possible when is FM output is ON, when bypassing .. all except FM out, pre-emph, stereo, and rds?
....and maybe PreAmp to 1.

After reading the responses to the improved bass response from 4 days ago, I have tried to take the change that I made then one step further. Now I have another A or B comparison...

I've been doing a lot of calculations and managed to find a function that estimates the amount of bass volume loss when the Loudness filter is used, and I've made a new version that uses this function to try to preserve the bass level.

Result: Loud bass sounds are better preserved, with very little effect on the rest of the sound. There might be a bit more distortion, and the high frequencies are slightly softer, which is why I'm asking for a comparison.

It's also possible to create an in-between version.

PREVIOUS version:
Winamp DSP plugin: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... _BETA2.exe
Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... _BETA2.exe
Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... _BETA2.exe
VST version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... _BETA2.dll

This is the same version from the last few days.

NEW version:
Winamp DSP plugin: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... r_BETA.exe
Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... r_BETA.exe
Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... d_BETA.exe
VST version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... l_BETA.dll

Over longer periods, the bass level up to about 400 Hz goes up about 0.25 dB, the other frequencies are about 0.03-0.05 dB softer.

Is the only with the "NEW" version and not with the "PREVIOUS" in the last mail? And, is this with very loud bass sounds (as in your presets)?

Edit: I think this only occurs with very deep bass sounds. Kick drums are often very deep. Does this match what you hear? If so, I *might* be able to solve it without loosing too much of the improved bass.
