- it has 25us at output also.. Comrpessed ..mmmm now what ?
- With this two AGCs i have problem to UP input signal because it's already high. and some left/right waveing is occuring - 2nd agc

Hm... Should I treat the signal as mono in the 2nd AGC? (That might make sense - it's set more aggressively so differences between left and right immediately lead to volume differences.)

sum mono or dual mono ...hm, some processors have mono control

Mono control?

I could add a slider to switch between full stereo (current situation) and full mono... Separate for both AGC's (assuming that I keep 2, but based on my own tests and your responses as well, I think I will, although I'll probably keep the 2nd one turned off by default)

if there is not lot of job we can try ...
Just .. not mono Audio .. just mono detecting.

LOL :-) Yes of course! That's what I meant
And should be very easy to add (just averaging the 2 RMS values - well, RMS averaging that is)

This is (as usual...) a bit more tricky than I expected.

I think that in case of mono processing, I need to calculate the minimum volume of the two channels, and then use that for both. Just taking the average level would lead to (assuming silence on one channel):
- Twice as loud sound on the other channel. More difficult for 'remove remaining peaks'.
- Multiband gets a twice as loud input on the channel with sound.

Only 'mono' fileter in ST is Single band limiter/compressor? how you do that (?) :)

I've uploaded a new version where you can control the stereo separation - at 100% it's identical to the previous version, at 0% the two channels are identical in volume (except when the difference gets too big and 'remove remaining peaks' starts to kick in).

Note: This is an update of BETA2, not of BETA (Bojcha, I saw that you're still using BETA instead of BETA2... BETA2 _should_ be slightly _better_ than BETA!)

Winamp DSP plugin: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... _BETA3.exe
Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... _BETA3.exe
VST version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... _BETA3.dll
VST version (No SSE2): http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... _BETA3.dll
Command line version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... _BETA3.exe

Note: New sliders are NOT yet saved to disk!

Edit: Hm... When testing this version further, I think I could just as well set the first AGC default channel separation setting near 0%. IF it's needed, the 'remove remaining peaks' setting will cause one of the two channels to drop if - otherwise - peak removal would have to kick in.

Edit #2: I discovered a 'bug': If I play a beep and set 'remove remaining peaks' at 100%, no peak removal should happen - but it does (caused the the smoothing of the behavior at input level near target level). Will have to check what's wrong there.
