You need to use Normal Output and either send it to 2 (!) different ASIO channels or to for example Virtual Audio Cable. |

I should say at the moment that my input audio is way out of balance (R is normal, L is only peaking around at -25). But thankfully ST (FM output) seems to balance it out! And it's letting me see where the processing seems to happen... I can see sending the Normal Output to, say, ASIO Output 3-4. But it looks like it's just being passed through (out of balance) rather than being the "de-emphasized" FM output... If I pass Normal via Master, the end output is better but not totally balanced. And I still don't see how to get my output to MTA output jack 1 (MTA output jack 2 is the MPX). (Forgive me for the MTA questions - their board is down...) I'm hoping the MTA mixer should work rather than VAC... |

I also always prefer VAC for normal output and streaming, since it's 'perfect soundcard'. And ofc "Separately procesed streamig output" mode. |

So it would be out of MTA mixer to VAC, then out of Windows Sound instead of MTA card? |

As far as i understand you need normal output for streaming, right? So, just set VAC at ST normal output and same vac on streaming software. It has nothing with your existing soundcard. IF you need to hear that normal output, there is "repeater" wich came with vac. |

Thanks for being patient with me, Bojcha, you can tell I'm fumbling along. I'm thinking my current airchain is audio into Marian Trace Alpha (MTA) mixer -> ST -> MTA output 2 to FM transmitter, MTA output 1 to (hardware) streamer. I have worked with VAC briefly... so VAC will be able to see/hear ST output...? |

Yes. |

And I can't do it without VAC...? Just using MTA mixer and ST? (just trying to keep it simple for me) So at this point, the only sound I have is Marian, and VAC is just helping to connect ST to the Marian card output 1 - and it will "override" what's being sent right now? |

Apologies for the latency ![]() I'm just getting around to this piece - is this the VAC we are talking about? It's the one I'm a little familiar with... http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/ |

Nope, that's different, but in my opinion the VB-Audio Cable is better than Virtual Audio Cable nowadays. VAC is glitching for me when VB works flawlessly. |
