Has anyone had an issue with the latest driver 3.01 and Win 7 Home Premium? Can only run MTA with it a few minutes before it crashes as above.
Else computer seems happy with full ST running for hours... without MTA...

Well I think I am using an older version of the MTA driver; and I had to adjust a BIOS setting (disabled PCI serial ERR ID generator), now all seems happy...

Ah! Do you have it in a 16-line PCI slot? We have found a big issue with that and reported it to Marian a while ago, and they might have added this in the driver to fix it (?). (I know that they recently updated their driver for some other issue that was reported by our Stereo Tool reseller in Australia).

Hans, I wouldn't know a 16 line PCI slot if it bit me on the rear.

Marian gave me the same feedback, to turn off /disable the SERR# generator in the Bus / setup menu. Working all like a charm now.

OK, Now I am trying to have the MTA send both an analog and an S/PDIF output (analog to streamer, S/PDIF to transmitter via RCA/BNC cable). MTA's mixer all looks fine, but I'm not getting any audio out on the digital side... any ideas?

(Ah, for whatever reason, even on the presets, "enable stereo" wasn't checked! So I'll try it again :-)

While I'm asking newbie questions... Is there ever a situation where "Normal" and "FM" outputs are both enabled? I assume if I'm going to use it to a transmitter, FM is the usual selection...

Yes, there is: if you have a livestream next to your FM broadcast, for example. You'd feed the FM-output to your transmitter and the Normal output to an encoder of some kind.

... with "separately processed streaming output" Mode.

Thanks guys.
I'm still trying to get ST direct into my FM transmitter first...

I think we've narrowed it down to Windows somehow not recognizing the digital output (though analog output is just fine). Meters in Marian Trace Alpha all good, but Win 7 Sound meters not moving. I did make MTA default sound card... and will test it again tomorrow. I may have reverted to an earlier (pre 3.01) driver before when I was trying to get it not to crash... perhaps I will update the driver again...
