Quote: Looks really professional (the others not). I have taken a second look on these other logos and tried to ask myself what I do not like. And I identified something that has already been mentioned by Brian. Quote: Well, I think it looks like a thermometer... :/

I really want to thank all of you for your suggestions! You may wonder what is going on, well, I'm currently asking lots of people which logo they like best and why. So far, I'm getting surprising answers (one logo that I didn't really like is the favorite of many people). I have also received some other logo's by email, and I'm now thinking how I can combine the good ideas from the different logo's without making it too crowded. |

This: But I really want my logo to show what I do (so if it's printed somewhere people who are interested in audio will be drawn to it). I'm working on a new idea myself now, which combines the original logo, feedback from several people, Bojcha's first logo, and feedback that I got from a professional designer who also made a quick sketch. But I'm now too happy with it yet, which is why I haven't posted it here yet. |

That looks good, but I agree that it does not represent what Stereo Tool is and the company behind it. The first graphical impression to me (ignoring the words) is, that it looks like a logo of a radio station. |

I have a few new ideas that I'll try to work out tomorrow. *maybe* one of them will be usable. (I also got a few designs from a professional logo designer, I won't use them directly but I think I can use some ideas from it). |

Quote: I also got a few designs from a professional logo designer, I won't use them directly but I think I can use some ideas from it. ![]() Be careful what you do ..... ![]() But seriously .... I repeat myself, but I ask again if there is still a chance to integrate "Van Zutphen" as part of the company name/logo, or is "Sound Audio Processing" already fixed ? Quote: I think it could help a lot if the name of the man behind this brilliant development would be part of the company name/the logo. IMO people prefer to trust more a person and less an anonym company name. So, "Van Zutphen" could become an acronym for sound processing like "Kaspersky" (for digital security), etc. You could argue that there are many other examples of very prominent and succesful companies without any personal name as part of the company name. But I think the absence of a name in those cases is based on the fact, that some personal names are usefull and others not: Microsoft = Gates Lame Software Apple = Jobs Expensive Computing Church Facebook = Zuckerberg Personal Data Trading Google = Page World Domination Project ![]() But Van Zutphen would be usefull (especially for an English speaking world market !). I doubt that anybody would associate "Van" with a vehicle. It would be clear that "Van Zutphen" is a man/company from the Netherlands. And as we all know the Netherlands are the most hated nation in all parts of the world .... ![]() ![]() (just kidding - only in Germany when they blockade german freeways with their slow campers and vans ![]() Sometimes it seems as if there are more dutch people on german freeways and in german television than living in the Netherlands. If they are here in german television it is more or less impossible to get rid of them alive. On December 24th (!) 2011 a dutch entertainer (finally) died in Germany at the age of 108 that already had been performing for Hitler in the 1930s ! |

Das ist wahrscheinlich weil so viele Holländer auch Deutch reden. Obwohl das natürlich nicht alles erklärt. Na ja, jedenfalls... The name change could be a good idea. Not sure how it sounds to native English speakers. But I do indeed have a lot of doubt about the current name - it is already registered, but that's fixable. The new logo design should be usable regardless of the name, so for now I'll keep it at Sound Audio, just to be able to compare logo's. Alhough, when I change the name I think I need a very different (caligraph/hand written) font instead. |
