Creating a good AGC is a lot harder than I expected...... :(
It is a lifetime eater !
....this AGC thing is (obvious) so complicated........
or:
A mission impossible (you can improve an AGC, but it will never be really good).
I really hope I am wrong with this statement.
AGC one, two, three bands.
Tweak this, tweak that.
Solving one problem, introduce a new problem.

Maybe it is better to trust more in a combination of MBCL and SBCL ?

Forget about this.
Let us hope for the perfect AGC.
If it is possible, Hans will do it (finally).

EDIT
If I had waited a few minutes before I started to type this message, I could have saved my time.

THANK YOU, Hans !!!

Hans,
how to say this.
For me, this is same .. even worst because some low level parts of some tracks are now unnecessarily louder...

Just played Celine Dion .. again in same places AGC's are down, so and voice

edit: ill upload preset ...
and there is bug when loudness is under x2.20

it must be some side chain compressor or some sort of compressor .. but real compressor with attack, release, ratio, drive .. etc.. My opinion is that AGC1 works good and "just" need something like this. i would really like to know what, but i don't.

here is preset where i think voices are better controled and bass is lot better.

@ Hans

My EDIT (erased text) was about BETA naming.
I thanked you for your announcement.
But of course we all cannot thank you enough for the whole Stereo Tool development !

Michi, why you quoted me wrongly.

You missed words, ratio, drive, .. which is not present in any option in stereotool.
.. and i can add threshold, knee, makeup and more ..

That is odd.... Have you lowered the 'up speed' of the first AGC? That should in fact reduce the volume going up a lot...

Is it already worse if you ONLY enable the first AGC (same settings as before)? If so, what's your Pre Amp setting? (I'm asking because of the changed behavior near input level = target level.)

Check the output bars... In AGC1 they shoud drop very slowly when these voices start. In AGC2 they should (almost?) never get lower than half way, and most of the time stay around 3/4ths. Otherwise something is wrong. Also, the output level must be set higher than before to compensate for the bigger volume reduction - which reduces the effect of voices etc.

Hello
I do not understand what you want to do? Processor for broadcast or for Internet? These are two different instrument. That's good for the Internet is not good for broadcasting. Filtering 15 kHz, important for the radio but did not need the Internet. And this is a powerful Loudnes it hurts the sound on the radio. And I think that a cheap transmitter can not give good sound picture. My questions is the desire to understand the problem and help solve it. The error may be even speakers who do not give a true sound.

I ask Hans to report on the speakers and the transmitter ..

P.S. My message is caused by the fact that I tried the presets that have in the forum. I can not understand how with so many Loudnes and other normal radio transmitter works without distortion and overmodulation? I'm having such a device Axel Falcon 35 (very bad) could not get normal sound. I got a full range of problems. Overmodulation distortion twitching ..... This device sounded in the studio is not bad .... and could work on the Internet. No comments ....

I just received a report that the Pentium 3 version of Stereo Tool 5.00 crashes. So this is the todo list for the next version:

- FIX AGC
- FIX PENTIUM 3 VERSION
