Just after typing this I've discovered that there's apparently "something" wrong with the Loudness filter. I'm not sure yet if I can improve it, or even what it is - but I think the sound _could_ be better (fuller).

So there MIGHT be another version before I'm releasing it - if I can find what's wrong.

Yes, it works now .. and mouse wheel works now but only to down for standalone.
For dsp version mouse wheel works in both direction

sometimes is see numbers 1.00 for sliders...when minimize and maximize again.

ahhhh much better, just the little space on the right of that box where there is .. nothing.
Just nitpicking, killing time here ;)

I have made a small change to the Loudness processing, but I'm not really sure if it's really better... Feedback is welcome!

PREVIOUS version:
Winamp DSP plugin: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... r_BETA.exe
Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... r_BETA.exe
Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... d_BETA.exe
VST version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... l_BETA.dll

NEW version:
Winamp DSP plugin: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... _BETA2.exe
Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... _BETA2.exe
Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... _BETA2.exe
VST version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... _BETA2.dll

Expected change: Loud bass sounds should cause less distortion in the new version. The "trace of highs" problem when using Loudness instead of Final Limiter should be gone. (I do notice however that some mid-high frequency content is lost in this case, in both versions. I'll look into that later.)

When running it, you can recognize the new version by the fact that there is a shade next to the Pre and Post amp sliders.

Bojcha: I haven't yet had time to check out your preset, I will probably do so tomorrow.

The +RDS graph looks like a normal graph with RDS data imposed on it... If you filter out frequencies above 50 kHz it should look like the graph at the bottom again - which means that you cannot hear any difference.

(If you DO hear a difference, something is really wrong)

i am hearing but only on level ~1dB overall level higher without rds.

That makes sense, some extra room needs to be reserved for the RDS signal, so the other sounds have to be reduced slightly (RDS at 5% means rest at 95%). Use "FM Volume Overdrive" at 105% or so to gain back most of the lost volume.

Bojcha, I've added your preset to the BETA2.

Did anyone already have a chance to compare BETA with BETA2? I have to choose one of them before I can fine-tune my presets. Also, BETA and BETA2 have different performance optimization possibilities... I have compared them myself, and I have a favorite, but sometimes my favorites are different from everybody elses - so I'm kinda waiting for confirmation here... (If you don't hear a difference, I still like to know that because of the optimization possibilities).

ok Hans.. but can we call it "imapct" because it's name of preset in one famous processor.

i "think" something heppened with Bass line in loudnes section. it's lower but cleaner. (beta vs beta2)
Maybe ... i am not so sure right now.
i am listening standaline version thru transmitter.
