No, i only played arround with the web presets. If you can tell me what should be on/off if you start stereotool in the preset phoenix i am no 6 then we may find out what's wrong. If i start steretool and choose the preset phoenix the final clipper is on and the loudness and hard limit are off. Is that how it should be?

Probably you were right, I've done a new instalation, and it seems solved.

lol .. indeed.. works good up to 327

mouse scroll 10Hz step is good. On keybord cursors should be by 1Hz step. Page up/down is also ok with 100Hz step.
re: 327 issue... I reported it, and reported it, and reported it, and gave up.

I know, the thing was in beta back then and I forgot to change it when it turned out that this slider was "here to stay". Sorry... Now fixing it.

The way Hans does it is the "Generic" presets have loudness and hard limit turned off (except Bojcha - Addiction V11, which has hard limit still on).

With the preset development I did, I made my primary preset for my own listening, not for a specific preset catagory. As such, what I did fits in the "Web Radio Stations" area, although it was never my intent to use my preset for actual web broadcasting.

So, if you want the loudness and hard limit functionality, either pick the same preset under WEB RADIO STATIONS, or just enable the setting that you want after you select one from the GENERIC list, then save that preset to disk. It will then be listed under "RECENT PRESET FILES"...

TODO:
- BUG: When switching from latency 512 to 4096, Loudness is broken. Fixed when you enable/disable shortcuts!
- BS412 final AGC default settings need to change
- When BS412 and Bass Boost are enabled, show a warning
- Drops still occur in BS412! --> Ow, it's not as sudden as I thought. Have to check this one... I suppose when there's a bigger drop than allowed I should briefly drop even further. But that should not be needed. I don't get it, something is wrong... Might be fixed now, test tomorrow - Drops are gone, checking if there's no effect on normal audio...
- Can 'Allowed highs distortion - strictness' be reduced to 1 now? (have to test that - I should at least enable that setting) - No, at least 2. Still have some doubts if 10 is better than 2 (difference is small). Leaving it at default 3 for now.
- Asymmetric bass reduction should not go below dynamic threshold
- Remove 1 preset (there are too many for proper display in the GUI) - No, shrunk font instead
- Maybe sort them differently? - No
- Take bass clipping into account with BS412 (will allow bass boost etc. to be used without too many issues) - Bad - unwanted effects, just use a proper bass limiting setting and this won't have much effect anyway.
- Add Bangkok FM preset - Done, but waiting for feedback from Bojcha on some questions
- Fill in a correct level for each preset to make it sound good with BS412
- Add extra setting to configure dynamic bass clipping level sensitivity differently for high frequencies.Done, works great , but I need to find a good default value -> 0.50, and add loading/saving.
- Split values for Singleband AGC for BS412. Will fix the sound of Bojcha's Addiction preset.
- Add Bojcha's Naomi One FM preset
- BS412 upspeed must be slower, now you can (very very slightly) hear a difference in volume occurring.
- Fix bug: Volume sometimes drops to 0 when BS412 is disabled and doesn't come back even if you press RESET. Haven't seen this one the last few days - assuming that it's solved...
- Replace highs sensitivity RELATIVE slider by ABSOLUTE slider
- Clip output in declipper 1.11 still gets switched on on restart
- Release
Future: Sensitivity calculation: Calculate WHERE exactly the bass needs to be dropped, and ignore start.
Future: BS412: If there's some silence near the tail of the 60 seconds, reduce up-speed so we don't have to drop again. Maybe even a separate calculation which takes silence into account?

Post subject:  Re: Stereo Tool 6.31 BETA

I received 2 updated presets and was notified about a bug in the command line version - so I'll have to do a new build.

Also changed: None of the 'generic' presets use Loudness or pre-emphasis anymore.
