Updated version, uploaded as BETA2.
- VST versions don't work
- In the Pre Limiter window, there are now 2 AGC's!
- AGC behavior is changed around the place where the AGC started to reduce the volume before. Now it starts a lot earlier, but the effect grows smoothly. This does mean that input tracks around the configured target output level will come out a lot softer now! But at least all tracks at the same input level should now come out at the same output level. This also impacts the output RMS volumes: They are now about slightly more apart if the input level is different. (But I think the benefits outweigh this small disadvantage).
- If you turn BOTH AGC's on, the output level is too low! So set the target output level (for BOTH AGC's!) higher. This is caused by the new behavior with input level near the configured target level: The 1st AGC outputs audio near the target level, so the 2nd reduces the volume further.
Suggested settings for good results, starting from the default settings:
- Turn BOTH AGC's on
- For the FIRST, set 'down speed' at 1 pixel above the minimum value. Set 'up speed' a bit lower than the default level. Set 'Remove remaining peaks above..." to 250%.
- For the 2nd, set 'down speed' around the default value (maybe slightly higher, .0004 instead of .0003, but not much higher than that). Set the 'up speed' slider a lot higer, near .00001. Set "Remove remaining peaks" around 150%.
- To compensate for the lower output level, set BOTH "target level" sliders higher - around 1.5 times the original value.
Basically, use the 1st AGC to slowly move to the correct level.
Then use the 2nd to reduce too loud sounds etc, and also to quickly increase the volume after a loud sound that caused both AGC volumes to drop (the first not that much - the 2nd should be able to 'fill the gap' --> Loud voice --> ALL frequencies dropped a bit --> Loud voice ends, AGC1 volume only increases very slowly, AGC2 volume increases rapidly but only by a small amount, but big enough to hide the volume reduction of the 1st.)
Note: For best results (least effect of loud voices), do NOT enable ITU-1770!

Known issues at this point:
- Too low output level if 2 AGC's turned on
- Absolute silence (0's in the input) cause loud cracks (probably division by 0 somewhere)
- New values are not yet saved to disk!
(Note to Michi: Next version will be BETA3, then BETA3A... After that I'll have to change my scripts to generate new ### version numbers.)
