Test with Mika - Elle Me Dit

BETA028 Non-phase Linear = red
BETA030 Non-phase Linear = purple
BETA111 Non-phase Linear = blue
BETA111 Non-phase Linear + post filter = green
BETA111 Phase Linear = yellow

All Non-phase Linear was 6th order.

I now see that i used 44100 as sample rate that should be 192000. But you can get the idea.

EDIT: I'll do the test again with sample rate of 192000.

Test between BETA028 yellow line and Stereo Tool 6.10 purple line. http://imgur.com/C4ZVv
So i guess the change between BETA028 and BETA030 is that in BETA030 and above the correct cutoff frequency was used for HPF and for versions before not.

Finally someone to test with spectralab .
Ok my friend .. test all versions with spectra and tell me on what version you NOT get an overloads ?
Yeah we talk about to test all the MPX with RDS signal , not just normal listening.

And what do you mean by overload?

Is it maybe possible to place an extra HPF just before loudness to get even better DC offset protection?
EDIT: Or move that Post filter to that place maybe?
Sounds like a good idea, testing now.
Can be good idea... because 'there' is Phase rotator. Anything can happen.

@Eldorado - Nice work! http://i.imgur.com/Dj5Zr.png
I see that Yellow and green are best. Red is good but there is some more 'riddle'
I would leave this post filter as default for 'never phase linear' then.

@eldoradofm: Very clear, thanks! I did my measurements using CoolEdit, but then you can only compare 2 recordings at once.

Actually it looks like the (phase linear!) post filter completely overrules anything that the non phase linear filter did. I'll measure the artifact level for both, it could very well be that this means that using the non-phase linear filter is now actually useless.

Edit: No, with non phase linear, the output is much cleaner for very low frequency input signals.

Yep , non phase linear is the strongest and cleaner . Agree

Is 'Channels L/R swap' available in the Winamp DSP version? if so how do you enable this feature as it is needed for my transmitter as posted here.

viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3765
No, it's a good option to add but it's not available at the moment.
When do you think that such a feature could be implemented?
