I want to read the user manual of the Omnia11. I remember that they applied coupling in the Multiband AGC but i don't remember if they have used the same way of doing band coupling/linking. So more info later....

N-1->N only affects the highest band.

Excellent. I sort of came to that conclusion after more experimenting and listening. I'm really loving how this sounds, especially on the low end.

I want to ask 2 things
The Limit option in the MB levels panel : is it a real limiter or just the name is "Limit"
Second one is : why it goes above 0 to +36 db ? and below 0 only to - 12 ? What is the big idea here ?
Why not to be from -36 to +36 ? I need limiter to go below -12 (at least -25) and i think the MB limiter (if it`s a limiter, not clipper) is the best option for this. The most good thing is : it`s a "per band" limiter.

Also if you extend it to -36 , you can make the default values to be 0db . Not +36 like they are now.

So far, liking the way the new band coupling is working!

It's really quite an improvement. In my preset, I have completely coupled the top and bottom bands. But it was a seven band preset to begin with, so it behaves like a fully uncoupled five band processor. Even better, it's a five band processor, with additional protection for very low bass and very high frequencies. To make up for the average 2-3 dB of gain lost in band 7 (somewhat), I have upped band 7's gain by .5 dB. It seems to be a magic combination.

What I noticed in some quick tests is that the sound is far more relaxed and true to the original. Which is probably exactly what you would expect

I think if you use this you should - if you use the old band coupling as well - set Highs Freedom to 100%.

weskeene, I have the feeling that a lot of people, including the plugin developer (LOL), have no idea that what you suggested is exactly the Optimod coupling behavior, so between you and me, I'm not even surprised people are happy with the way it sounds.
Now, do you happen to know how steep the multiband crossover slopes are in the 8200 ? I know they're pretty steep, but how much ?

And when comparing the O boxes, I did a side by side with a 8500 and 6exi .the 8500 sounded MORE natural and absolutely had the best cut to cut consistency. But now thoses boxes are gone and replaced by ST. Congrats to Hans.

No, I don't know the Optimod crossover slopes. I have only two data points to assist you: Bob Orban said in an interview that they're actually not very steep and that lends to the full sound in the low end, 2) We know the band 1 point is selectable at 100 or 200, and band 5 is near 6k.
