Calibration is a bit difficult to do because we don't have proper test tones and no proper slider for it. What you can do is make a 40 or 80 Hz square wave in for example adobe audition. Then play this with the winamp dsp version or from winamp trough VAC to the stand alone version. Then put all the processing off except for FM transmitter. Enable FM transmitter calibration. Adjust the phase difference with the slider off the tone you're playing. So if you play a 40 hz square wave adjust the 40 Hz phase slider. Don't check the box underneath it because we don't want a sine tone but a square wave. Adjust this for minimal deviation on your analyzer. Then if you adjusted this for this tone save this preset and open the sts file. Set the same phase difference for the other frequencies and it should work. We are still waiting for a better solution for this problem from Hans. |

Quote: My soundcard is Asus Xonar Essence STX
That sound card is not good for sending MPX. Actually that's (in some way) Creactive, so avoid ASUS and Creative soundcards.Juli@ or Marian Trace Alpha or pro. |

You can try the things that we posted. What's your signal on the analyzer. The signal strength i mean. |

When you open that flac file in an editor you can see there's a DC problem around 11 seconds. |

Now explenation for Realtek 888 889 .. etc.. That's good soundcard. but, can happen that power supply is not good, motherboard (because motherboard design) etc.. If you load any preset (like yours) and play it via VAC to MPX Tool, you will not see ANY peek after 75kHz. However analog exciters just cannot have same exact 75kHz .. but can be very close. Few days ago i measured mine transmitter with some professional unit and deviation was 75.5kHz with peeks upto 76.5kHz. Soundcard is Juli@ and tilt adjusted. (FM Transmitter Calibration) So, in your case problem can be, Soundcard tilt (?), (power supply, motherboard..), cable or exciter. There is maybe explenation why beta79 is better for you. now bass is more 'sqere' and if you have tilt on soundcard or transmitter deviation can go high. |
