Bojcha: It turned out that when "fm volume overdrive" was used, the final lowpass filter was turned off... It's fixed now, I'll upload a new version later tonight. |

I'm now building an update where this is fixed and the output display is working properly again (synchronized and all output bars display what they should display). |

Update is online! If you notice anything strange in the output display bars, please let me know (I know that the AZIMUTH display is flashing, will fix that later). |

Hi, Mpx is good now. next, - Loudnes meter (window) right channel not working. - Stereo Image OFF - DIFF button pressed there is some sound (4.22 too) so is there any processing ? i don't need Stereo Image at all so meters can be disabled too. - I figured that "never reduce below original level" MUST be ON (if stereo boost is used).. you can see why by playing one channel file. L or R - "Very deep bass distortion" not working so good as in v4.22 - i did't notice erlier .. but there is obvious lack of bass in LowLatency version. Very important thing "Clipping" in Multiband... This strange sound i can clearly hear in v4.22 but still present in beta3. it's about bass .. Dry bass playing and there is strange sound in mid range like "early reflection".. if i turn "clipping" off Sound (bass) is clear good in few minutes i'll upload part of song and same part thru ST. edit: here is link http://rapidshare.com/files/327226291/loop1.rar.html |

Ok, and I also see that in the main window the channels are swapped. ■ FIXEDMpx is good now. next, - Loudnes meter (window) right channel not working. Quote:

The processing is turned on anyway when the AZIMUTH correction is enabled (it's part of the same filter). The difference that you're hearing must be caused by the AZIMUTH correction. The stereo image display is therefore just a "bonus" which you get for free if AZIMUTH correction is enabled. ■ OKQuote:

I don't see it... What are your settings, and what's happening? Basically, if the 'mono/stereo' slider is set all the way to 'stereo', enabling this should have no effect, if it's set lower (closer to mono) and you have 100% separation, then you need it to maintain this 100% separation. (Note: When the signal STARTS to be on a single channel only, something might happen to the sound if this setting is not enabled though). ■ Fixed (not yet uploaded).Quote: - "Very deep bass distortion" not working so good as in v4.22
I also had that impression. Based on what I see in the code it should work as good as in v4.22 - so I'm probably missing something. Will check. ■ No, it's identical to 4.22Note: Don't rely on the "DIFF" output to determine this - the DIFF output in v4.22 was wrong! I see what you mean... I did a measurement and for some reason the frequencies between 45 and 65 Hz are about 3 dB softer in low latency mode.It turns out that it's caused by the new highpass filter! I've tried for over an hour now, but in Low Latency mode the filter isn't precise enough to get rid of this effect. Temporary solution: In the Multiband filter, set the equalizer for the first two bands to 1.24 and 1.12. (Assuming a filter frequency of around 30 Hz; the result is still slightly below the intended bass level, but it's closer. Don't use much higher values or you'll get rumbling sounds - in Low Latency mode the equalizer values of adjacent bands must be close to each other). (enable 'before multiband' if you're not already using the equalizer). I'll make a change in the code so this will be done automatically in the future. ■ FIXED Also note: Bass Boost currently DOES NOT work in Low Latency mode! I'll listen tomorrow (I dropped my headphones and it broke into pieces... This strange sound i can clearly hear in v4.22 but still present in beta3. it's about bass .. Which leaves the question: What do you hear that makes you say it's not working as well? (Note: You're taking about normal latency mode, right?) |

Having said that, the output of "Improved Loudness Distortion Protection" (I've just added a "DIFF" there too) looks and sounds really horrible. Will be fixed ASAP. Edit: No, the horrible sound is masked by other frequencies. So this is not a problem. There seems to be something wrong with "deep bass boost" though - checking now ......... -> Edit: No, is good too. So basically both bass protection filters are doing what they should. |

Not yet, waiting for some RapidShare slots to download your sample... ![]() The headphones are not yet ok, I lost the magnet of the left speaker so I don't have any audio there ![]() |
