There is a bug, so there is no Output when you have more thn one band in the AGC and have set the Multiband compressor type to "Analog".

Ah thanks, bug is fixed now, and I'm now working on making things like Band Mix and Density Drive work. Should be finished by tonight.

Also it would be nice having the Features like Limiters and Burst protection (like in digital mode)...

I know. I'm actually thinking about doing that in a different way: Instead of limiters, it might also work to have 2 speeds of compression. That's how I made the recording that I posted above...

Also I just found that Ratio doesn't work as it should, will look into that. (Actually, it worked wrong in the old (Digital) compressor as well, I thought I had fixed it but the new one is wrong too.)

Current behavior (say Ratio is set to 2:1):

- Digital: Maximum reduction is 6 dB. So if the audio gets loud no compression is happening anymore.
- Analog: At higher levels, it acts as if the ratio goes up.
- Expected: 6 dB audio difference -> 3 dB output level difference, regardless of how far the level is pushed down.

OK, but then the second compressor should sense the Level after the first compressor, but ist gain reduction should occur before the first one (like the limiters in the old MB).

Actually I don't think that that's needed. The test file (which sounds way over the top btw) was made by using only 2 MB compressors (plus a bit of singleband and final clipping), so there wasn't even an AGC there...

There is a difference in how it's used though: If you use the 'fast acting' compressor to make the sound, you want it to stay active. Another option might be to use the peak level of the fast compressor to control the attack of the slower one. Anyway, let's first get some feedback about what's here now...

OK, but would you in the future implement two multiband stages in ST? It's not so easy to use two ST instances for anyone (me included).

I like to work with very slow MB times, but this does produce good results only with a second stage.

Regards,
Robert

Yes. Either that or put 2 compressors in a single MB.
