Here's my suggestion for default values:
- Subtract: 0
- Multiply: 200% (is this high enough?)
- Maximum: 0.9
- Vib: 0.75 (is this too high?)

EldoradoFM: Most of the tracks you posted don't even contain highs (those that do are interesting though). What should I do with these?

With most of the tracks i posted i get some sort of distortion. This is tested onair with the latest preset from Bojcha. Especially the beginning of the Mario Mathy song is giving problems with highs or maybe it's some sort of other distortion, but it's fine with breakaway. I don't know if the latest S protection filter helps for this song but it will probably help with some others i posted. If you can find what's causing the distortion problems with the other songs maybe you can find some way to fix that.

eldoradofm: I found that for at least one track (TheSource) it helps to reduce 'Max highs burst strength' to 0%.

That does cause extra volume effects - which should then be fixed again using the new filter.

Edit: Added an extra filter which does not completely solve this issue, but definitely improves it.
Building now.

Testing with B-Town preset. For other preset may be different settings, but for this preset (FM), this settings are good.
Only different is I set Multiply at 300%.
Overall impression is like more Highs and moer clrear sound, when i am now not using old de-esser.
Must test with other tracks too.

Edit: Like It's more stable with Vib: 0.95-1.00

Eldorado .. good examples!
For Mario Mathy song, In AGC turn ON ITU-BS -head correction, it will help (?)

"Max highs burst.." can be also turned down, something like +50

New version with improved 'S' filtering:

Winamp DSP plugin: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 20-026.exe

(Sorry, didn't have time to build anything else)

Tonight I'll generate the 'TEST' flac file, based on the latest settings from Bojcha (I think I agree about the slightly higher 'Multiply' value).
I'll have to check what effect lowering the 'High frequency burst' has - this burst thing really helps with keeping the 'S' effect under control. And with the new filtering I just added it also has less effect on the sound (and strangely it appears to be MORE effective than before!)

Bojcha, just to make sure:
- Your latest preset
- De-esser set to maximum (I think range 80-100 is safer... So I'll set it a bit over 0 dB)
- Max highs burst strength: 50% (or slightly higher?)
- Subtract: 0
- Vib: 1.00
- Multiply: 300%
- Maximum: 0.9

Attachment:
B-Town-FM-v3.rar [3.06 KiB]
Downloaded 318 times
- Sligtly faster up-speed for Bass and mid-bass
- Lowered input for FinalLimiter (sometimes was high when loud highs present)
- Turned off Old De-Esser
- AGC ITU -head correction ON
- Dyn De-Esser mult. 300
- Vib: 1.00
- "Max highs burst strength" 50% (it's better at 75% and 100) but safer at 50% .. keep it at 75%!

This track, MOSAR - 216 Indian Lake, grrr.... Don't know what to do (?)
