Ok, what's that NAN that i mentioned (Octaviafm's bug). What did you do exactly when this happened? And could you clear the message (by clicking OK)? Was the audio ok?

This is with "Limit Normal Out" active using the "normal output"...

Is that with default limiter settings? And not with already clipped input? I just ran a test to make sure nothing broke, and this is what I see here now with limiting:

Did you have FM output enabled as well? If so I need to check if my Normal Output is really limited in that case (I'm pretty sure that it is, but I'll re-check).

Its a thrue thing, lookahead limiter works not good.
When put the signal thrue another ociloscope i get the same "flatlines"... ;)

It's with default limiter settings and not already clipped input. If it was, I would have seen it in Stereo Tool itself. Other processors (BAOne and another one with only HD cores active) look fine on the scopes.

Ok, here's how I tested:

1. Loaded my Analog Pleasure preset
2. Went to the clipper settings and boosted the clipper level by 6 dB, to get a clearer view of what's happening.
3. Turned "Pre-emphasized clipping/limiting" off for a clearer visible difference.
4. Ran the same audio through it twice, once in Clipper. Then put the output waveforms side-by-side in a wave editor.

The result is visible here. It is clearly clipping above and limiting below. (And it looks like this thoughout the whole file).

There is somthing wrong..if you know? You see it

One hint: "3. Turned "Pre-emphasized clipping/limiting" off for a clearer visible difference." = bad idea whith normal out!
Whith normal out we dont use pre emph..its HD no FM!

So the lookahead limiter from Leif and another one are "achterlijk" ? ;)

Of course you should leave that on for streaming, but if you want to *see* clipping it's better visible without.

My testing happened without any encoding or streaming used between the processor and the monitoring app. Just VAC's which all the processors used as output device. First 2 (BAOne and another one) worked fine with lookahead limiting, Stereo Tool did not.
