Hey again, jdave! With the upgrade to v7.83, I think I'm pretty much there in trying to get that "growl" that I really like.  It appears that the effect is sub-bass harmonics, and the "True Bass" feature really added the color I've been trying to obtain. Really digging the new 7.83 code! Take a listen to the latest setting attempt. -Jason

For bass you really should update to the latest version. I've added a new filter that generates sub-bass at a frequency that you can configure. Which has a very big effect on the sound.Edit: Oops missed your last post
