Win2K8 Server is not the ideal Operating System to be running a CPU intensive application on. Server Operating Systems are coded for different priorities than running intensive applications. Try runing it on a client system like 7 or 8.1 and you'll get much better performance. C. |

Server operating systems are much more reliable than desktop operating systems - they are purpose built for continuous operation. They also don't contain every app, widget, service and tools that are targeted for desktop machines. Win2K8 (not preferred) is the supported OS for our Proliant server machines which are tasked with audio processing - HP provides full support, all bugs are ironed out and all the drivers work. |
