Now I have an airchain question. ST has to be just before the transmitter to use all the functions (FM generation, Stokkemask, etc.), right? If my only in / out is the stock 1/8" audio... that seems unlikely to match, right? Currently my audio is routed to the EAS first... |

There are convertor plugs for that......

I figured there would be... I was trying to wrap my head around the fact that my future ST box will likely have to be just before the transmitter; also, that instead of XLR audio in from EAS, it will be MPX out of ST into the transmitter. |

I swear, I didn't mess with the box (computer)... but now ST will receive audio and process it... then nothing (as if someone muted it, but everything is still running)... for about 30 seconds, then the audio kicks back in. Sampling at 192 or 176.4 |

30 seconds is very long, the buffer size for the output buffer is 12 seconds so I can't explain how you can ever get 30 seconds of silence. Is this with ASIO or non-ASIO? And can you see if anything special is happening in the buffer meters? Also, how often does it happen, and are the 30 seconds gone or does playback continue where it left off? |

Post subject: | Realtek (was Re: Migration BBP ASIO - StereoTools) |
Non ASIO. Stock Realtek HD audio card of the variety that can sample up to 192kHz. The 30 seconds is gone; it's as if it's only picking up some audio, playback does NOT continue where it left off. So I doubt it's a buffer issue. And forgive me for misleading. This is a different ST box then the one I had been using; it may have cycled on and off / done some windows 7 updates between the time when it seemed to be running well and not. So I may have to go and tweak something in windows. |

Well I simply gave this computer a bit of a rest... then powered up. Seems to be running well now, no dropouts / interruptions for the last hour. |
