Not yet (I haven't built it yet).

Someone tested it on ubuntu 16.04 lts? Jackd started with qjackcl. Nothing changed in the config. Stereotool starts without errors, but there must be something wrong with the in en output config. Someone point me in the right direction.. |

Sorry for bumping the thread, but I just tried installing on a Linux server from post #2's guide. I get an error about Jack from Stereo Tool. " jack_client_new: deprecated Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory Cannot connect to server request channel jack server is not running or cannot be started JackShmReadWritePtr::~JackShmReadWritePtr - Init not done for -1, skipping unloc k JackShmReadWritePtr::~JackShmReadWritePtr - Init not done for -1, skipping unloc k JackIO: Error: Cannot open JACK client, is jackd running? Just got it to work the pipe/command line version way. How do I save the settings though? There doesn't appear to be a save button in the passworded web interface I'm using to control it. |

A very easy way of setting everything up in the jack version is to use pipewire as a replacement for the audio subsystems pulseaudio/jackd. It might not be native, but it's ridiculously easy to set up, and i had no problems with it, latency is still excellent. Just install pipewire-pulse, pipewire-jack, wireplumber. For patchbay you can still use Carla , or qpwgraph. After starting pipewire for the first time (sh -c "pipewire & pipewire-pulse & wireplumber & disown"), execute the ST binary at least once with "pw-jack /path/to/ST", later would be no need because ST opens it's own jack server from what i've seen. To use Stereo Tool internally, also run "sudo modprobe snd-aloop" and hook ST to the loopback device on the input, it's called "Built-In Analog Stereo" for me. P.S. Some systems now have pipewire as native, you just need to install the pw-jack. |
