Very strange; inside ST I don't even know if you're in batch or live mode...
That's what makes the entire problem so weird. Somehow during batch encoding the mentioned VST hosts seems to ignore Startup volume level in AGC. Not too sure, but that's what I feel is happening. Will follow up later tonight.

Will post a new version tonight.
4. Use RDBS names when using 75 us pre-emphasis viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4869
5. GUI closing warning viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4708 DONE
6. Fix AGC problem (release doesn't respond the same at very high input levels) Should be ok now, waiting for feedback...

By the way, I've been playing with this Controlled Distortion a bit today and I must say that I'm *really* starting to like what it does. The clipper sounds less 'restrained', more open/alive.

That would mean that the plugin isn't 're-started' for each track (assuming that it does work fine just after loading). I cannot fix that - that's really upto the host :(

Waiting beta.. :)

Anyway i bit tested Stokke..
When "Skip Smoothing" is ON, i actually have slightly higher Demodulated level with "Audio quality" 0 then with 2. However RF is "wider" with "skip smoothing" ON :|

True. It's there for people with no spare CPU load, and it *might* be sufficient, I don't know. (The official Stokkemask specification demands some smoothing to be done on the measurements, which might make the result compliant). Anyway, if it still removes multipath distortion then it might be a very good alternative for non-Dutch stations; the effect on both the audio and the CPU load is pretty small.

For behavior similar to the old version, but with far less effect on the audio, turn both optimizations off. With Audio Quality at 0 you're very close to the sound of version 7.31; at higher Audio Quality values there's a lot less effect on the audio.

Tomorrow morning. Build is running now, but I'm going to bed

Edit: Windows update with reboot :( I've just restarted the Winamp version build (VST and stand alone were finished, fortunately)

Windows stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 32-003.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 32-003.exe
Windows VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 32-003.dll

1. Improved Controlled Distortion intermodulation distortion detection - should now have less effect on the audio and is probably more effective when needed Hm, maybe I should turn it off when there's no bass to make voices sound fuller... Will check that later.

Great idea to have the RDS vs RBDS selection tag along with the pre-emphasis choice :)

AGC does weird things though in this last version; may take a few versions for it to become ok again. So for now don't use it for actual processing........

New build is running, changes are:
- Full screen mode added (no window border, no task bar)
- AGC: Might be better now, default behavior is old behavior, new behavior can be selected.
