Another great release Hans. Quick comment on SSB - so far I have not noticed a significant difference to DSB, and had no listener comments, but I am yet to travel to a few spots where I Know multipath is at its worst. A not often mentioned benefit to leaving SSB running is the added high end bandwidth you can dial up while running RDS. That alone could make it worthwhile, and it gets a free ride with the excellent composite clipping! All good stuff. |

Whatever the Omnia 9 uses doesn't exhibit this loudness loss.

great job Hans! I just have a problem, someone has found interruptions and bumps in the VST version 7.30? Ps: The breaks disappear if I disable "ADVANCED CLIPPER" |

Do you hear that same improvement with Stereo Tool's SSB mode? And if so, can you check if there's a difference between the modes? Thanks! |

Can't answer that as my ST is on a small in house transmitter whereas the O9 is on a full power station. I'm working on getting ST on a full power station...when that happens, I will see what I can learn.

Here's a MasVis analysis of the typical remastering I'll do to heavily brickwalled / clipped tracks. It's a 3 frame gif, the first frame is the straight CD rip, the second is the normal remastering I usually do which includes R128 leveling and Stereo Tool's Declipper at all default settings except that the "compressed input" option is turned off, the third and final frame is with everything exactly the same, except that Stereo Tool's new Natural Dynamics filter has been turned on, all at default settings. I feel that the effect is subtle but enough to notice if it's not used.
