If you're talking about the artifacts in the bass (especially at lower latency and lower quality settings, you don't hear them at latency 4096 with quality 100% I suppose???) I know how to fix them... But it requires Quality to be increased to 200%, and you know what that will do to the CPU load. ![]() |

Yes i know that but Ozone consumes only few % of CPU say 3-4 . And no any noise and sound ringing . So it must have a way to clean it . Bands are 4 , in ST they are 9 do let`s say CPU will go to max 10% . In ozone quality factor for the filter goes to 40. I was surprised when test and see there no any noises above the cut freq . I don`t know - only suggest to see what it can do .The thing is that bands overthere cannot be crossed as low as in ST . Once i read a post that you explain to us that thisi is a problem , crossing is very close. |

That problem persist looong time ago. And it's present in almost all filters. Most noticable is in HPF (phase linear), lower MB bands, Bass boost, Bass shape, Advanced bass distortion... etc.. so low freqs. ![]() |

Bojcha , I know that you know for this . But do you know that Ozone plugin . If you like , you can do some tests and see for what i`m talkin about. pure clean filter even on very low freq. Wow But nevermind , like people say we can`t hear this from airplane ![]() |

I tried 7.24 on our Win7-MarianTrace8 setup today and I did not get it running. All bars (input/output) are red and the ASIO dialog button lets ST crash in most cases. Sometimes, ST generates weird ticking noises. The same config works fine in ST 7.23. |

@AlexL: And that's with ASIO or non-ASIO controls?' Can you send me your settings file? Once you copied it, you could try resetting it (by removing or renaming the .ini file) - there's a previous report in this thread about similar behavior that was fixed that way. If this does indeed help, I'ld like to get BOTH .ini files!!! Edit: What I'm starting to suspect: To make sure that no settings get lost (that was mainly needed for the Linux version where Jack connections can come and go at any moment), I've made a change where - if the sound card name in the preset or ini file is not found in the hardware - an extra entry is kept with this name. Trying to open that will always fail. However I don't see why something like this could happen (the name in the .ini file should not exist anymore). Opening the ASIO GUI is just a call to the Configure() function of the ASIO driver, so if that crashes the crash must come from the ASIO driver - OR my software must think that there is one while there isn't (which again could happen if this extra entry is used as a sound card). |

Maybe I don't read carefully all posts but what about wasapi support in ST? |

Before wasapi, i think more important is support for KS (Kernel Streaming). Also, Wasapi is not natively supported in windows XP, so Vista, W7 and W8... |

KS and XP = more problems with drivers etc... WASAPI is more important because direct sound win7 works complety different than xp (XP better). |
