Hey guys!

Bringing back an old topic because I have good additions to the list in this thread.

Christina Milian - "Gonna Tell Everybody"
Has a very good piano intro then bass and stereo effects in the rest of the song.

Luther Vandross - "Superstar"
The beginning with the chimes...This will show if your clipper settings are too agressive.

:)

Here are a few test songs that I use when trying a new preset or making my own. Some of my choices may seem a bit odd but they have worked well for testing different aspects:

C418 - Sweden (from Minecraft)
- I find that the Piano will clip on poorly constructed presets. Namely because this song starts super quiet but then gets suddenly louder. That might throw some overly aggressive presets off.

Tetsuya Shibata - The idol of the "Time and Space" (from Devil May Cry 4)
Jack Wall - Virgil (From Mass Effect)
- Both these songs contain a low bass rift that always clips like crazy when settings are off. You'll know pretty quick if that happens.

Junko Tamiya - House of Toys (From Little Nemo - The Dream Master)
- I find this to be an excellent test for whether compression is way too strong. If the square waves are constantly dipping in volume, then you've over-done it. This also tests the de-clipper settings as they will negatively impact this song if too intense.

There are a couple more which I cannot recall off hand but will post if I remember. Basically any preset that can play these songs smoothly while still greatly enhancing the original sound works well for me.

For extremely loud low bass with simultaneous highs try this: Trae featuring Yung Joc - In Tha Hood.
