Maybe it's an idea to add "update Help" to the end of every todo list when a new version is released.

I just received the following suggestion:
Quote:
Add a checkbox to the OUTPUT section that would allow the RIGHT CHANNEL output to be inverted (you would need to invert the signal in software).

That would allow a standard unbalanced sound card to become a BALANCED output, capable of driving longer lines with a higher voltage.
If that really works this way it would be very useful...

@Hans: Transmit a query from the Spanish forum ... :?:

... Natural Dynamics querying this in the plans of re-enabled in the GUI and optimize the CPU usage.

The post this in link viewtopic.php?f=21&t=3632&start=10, where there are links to mp3 where the Natural Dynamics enhances the defects of the original track.

Ok, I've read it (using Google Translate) - it could be that the translation was incorrect but I think it said that the artifacts in the original didn't get reduced, not that they got worse. Am I wrong here?

About this filter: Yes, I want to re-introduce it, but first I want to redesign the GUI and Multiband section. But I know (I have heard) how much Natural Dynamics can do for some songs, so I really want to add it. Just too bad that everything takes so much time... :(

Actually the issue is so, were posted a couple of songs that come from the style of music "reggaeton" where normally use bass and recordings with too much compression. These issues, have some distortion or over-compression, in the band of 100-200 Hz (a bass string acoustic guitar) or so, and this is not clipping.
So says the Declipper, this is not fixed (it should not fix it), but the Natural Dynamics greatly improves the problem.
But, too bad the CPU consumption. :(

Time to time, it is good to know that the plans to return. But I think also, that as you say, before the redesign of the GUI and the MB. I will transmit this to the Spanish forum. Thanks. ;)

Without proper AGC and MB any pre-processing like "natural dynamics" (read "expander") is not good idea! Even current declipper (which make much less peeks then you can do with expander) has some impact on MB.

Proper AGC and MB mean.. to be ready to handle all kind of bursts, all kind of "peeks", handling of (difficult to process) bass sounds.. etc..

For example .. 2 bass bands in MB have huge problems in clippers (read "limiter") even also in main compressor. Imagine what will happen if you "expand" that.
Also logicaly would be perfect to match expander bands to MB bands, but not so important if band xovers in expander and MB are good, which in current ST MB is unfortunately not case. :|

So you can have fixed expander with 5 bands and MB with 7 bands. (IF all is as should)

Hans,

When you and Bojcha both used the phrase "natural dynamics", my dreams were answered. When you first delivered that, it presented, to me, the "sweetest" sound possible. At thai time, it was amazing.

Are you seriously considering bring it back? I know, at that time, you said that you might at some point.

A week or so ago, I said what could you possibly do next? The answer, "natural dynamics".

Thanks for all that you and your team have done.

Al

Wow , new version is ahead

So... I ask in the last version thread , but i`ll ask again here : Is Gating in MB will be there before reduce the bands in it? Because in the past i read that MB will have reduced number of bands when redesigned.
I suggest to build the gate function in MB before reduce the bands .Will help a lot of users .
