Hi guys,
I know this is a processing forum, but many of you build your own transmitter PCs.
I'm looking at using a PERC H745 SAS/SATA controller https://serverorbit.com/hba-and-control ... rc-h745-en in my new build.
Does anyone know if this card introduces latency penalties? I'm trying to keep my buffer settings in Stereo Tool as low as possible (for live mic monitoring), but I don't want the storage subsystem to be the bottleneck that causes stuttering.
Is it better to stick to onboard NVMe/SATA for a Stereo Tool rig?
Cheers.

NVME should be just enough, it talks directly to CPU, so i don't see point of anything faster, except you specifically need it for some other stuff.
Also choose gen4, and try to avoid gen5. Those are getting really hot = throttle, if not cooled properly.
