Triggered scopes is on my todo list. Michi95 suggested something else: A view where you can see a large part of history, which is very useful to see spikes.
Got it :) Both sound like good improvements to the GUI. Can't wait to see them in a future release. :)

Something about scope/wave graph.
So, there are two solutions. Scope and "moving waveform", or maybe both (?) Each of these are better then current graph!

Scope - This one has my vote. It can be easily internaly adjusted to show RealTime sound, and for me best view!

When i send a sine tone through the processing chain, i can see the sine tone on your oscilloscopes. But because it isn't triggered it doesn't stand still.
Nothing better then this kind of scope for Real Time Sound View

Movin Waweform - This is tricky. How long wave it should be shown? Adjustable? I just checked and 1 Secod will be ideal (for current Stereo Tool window width.
Where will be center of current sound? Definitely, we will not see incoming sound, at least not for Input graph, so it will be at the end of graph window, and not at center of window where it should be.
Ofcourse i am thinking on Standalone version, DSP version is other story.

This is really great - I now have a script set up which just asks me to fill in the description for any slider or checkbox that I didn't fill in yet :-)

Major digression from the ongoing subject of discussion partly because I am frustrated trying to calibrate a preset that brings the same sound from all the versions. I donot intend to spoil the festive mood. Rather something that needs to be sorted out in upcoming versions of this software.
Hans, at 16 bit difference is marginal when hosted from Winamp between DSP(hosted directly) and VST (using VST bridge). But then honestly I do not trust the fidelity of Winamp. It's one of the most nuisance player that's suitable only for those who donot have an ear for detail.

I am currently uploading a pair of sample track in uncompressed 32 bit IEEE encoded from JRiver Media Center 15 by hosting both the plugins directly and writing to a file. This should help you gather clues as to what is substantially different in their sound caricatures. Feel free to do all the analysis at your leisure after the holidays. I just thought it's important for this topic had been raised before and with the latest improvements in Loudness, the difference is really annoying to tailor a preset intended for universal usage.

EDIT: Done Uploading! Here's the link:http://www.mediafire.com/?hjmb0k63b47d2ed

Creative X-Fi Elite Pro. Use ASIO. The point is to avoid ambiguities, I wrote the output to wav files and I am listening them thru the same player realtime. Even when encoded to AAC, my iPod can bring out the difference.

Still uploading pretty large files.

Phoenix: There appears to be a 'history' issue: At the start the two tracks are very different, but the difference drops to -100 dB RMS after the first few loud spikes. I've played the difference at the end between the two (greatly amplified) and I hear only white noise. --> Might make sense, DSP version uses dithering, VST version apparently not (!).

At 0:00-0:10: -44 dB
At 0:10-0:20: -50 dB
At 0:20-0:30: -70 dB
At 0:40-0:50: -88 dB
At 1:00-1:10: -100 dB, and stays there until the end of the tracks.

Which probably makes sense: The more really loud sounds have played, the closer all bands have been lowered to their target levels, and hence the more they approach each other.

So I'm assuming that you can only hear a difference at the start?

The DSP version is apparently processed at 16 bits (?), which fully explains the white noise I hear when I play the difference signal.

Loaded the VST version of 6.0 into sony Acid pro.
The GUI states its version 5.02 and the red update bar appears but the text scrolls really fast in the end everything locks up. :(

I don't plan on using the VST version through Acid pro, but that seems like an issue I should post on here. :)

Used the command line version instead, and it works beautifully. I'll post up audio results later.
Ran into one problem when I made a typo in the output location. Input folder was 2010\<file name> Output should have been 2010\<filename-master> instead I wrote 2019\<blah blah blah> which kept crashing the program.
A warning or error would do better for the end user, though such mistakes are easily correctable through patience.
