Isn't that a yet another thing working as an equalizer?
It can be if set a particular way. However, I'm pretty sure the point of it is to make it as transparent as possible though. I'm just not any good at that. Instead, I opt to disable the EQs and adjust my preferred tone using the Levels in the MB-AGC.

Yes, the compressors already exist, but I don't use any outside of pre-clipper level control with a 1:1 ratio. To my untrained ear, the MB-AGC covers just about everything I need the compressors for (not counting things like the sub-bass boost or limiter).

This 4-band AGC you just cant make it to be transparent. You must use Inf:1 ratio, meaning, band will boost or attenuate infinitely (threshold) whatever it thinks and there is NO any kind of settings that will stop it in this multiband configuration. Not to mention wrongly implemented window function.

Bojcha, what do you mean with wrongly implemented window function?

Something recently changed regarding window behavior and dynamic attack/release. I'm getting lots more loud jumps than before.

Multiple problems, first seems target chasing is slower then it should (i can't be fully shure on this), speeds inside window are wrong, and for release it never release or not properly, leading to next problem any window amount will result half of that amount never out of meter treshold (when no signal - gates off), wich proves that something is wrong with window release speed. Idk why Hans make it so complicated when actually it can be much simple.

I explained few times, and here once again - Attack and Release speeds with those other stuff for protection/fast attack etc, window with just 2 simple sliders that sets attack/release speed inside window, or sets speed percentage of original/main attack/release. More accurate 'target center' for window. That's it, and only about window.

There also was a bug in window behaviour when combined with dynamic attack/release times. Hans fixed this in the beta from October 1st and that sort of helps.
Indeed the AGC never fully releases when using a window, I never realised the window causes that.
When I use the AGC in multiband mode I link all bands to a wideband, because otherwise you won't get it to be stable.

Yeah it's quite different now with this fix.

Ah! Of course, the wideband! I knew I was overlooking something to solve the now inconsistent levels.

Thnx for reply. I'm getting some of this issues too. I saw that window freeze if enabled. One thing should be also included in AGC is that after some time of silence, agc should go to a certain level. But what I hear often is incosistent levels in AGC, secondly if like, for example there is a song, which has pumpin beat, like Kungs - Never Going Home... I just cannot get enough bass in the verse, but a lot is coming in the bridge, where kick is not present.

For the very bottom end, I would look into supplementing it with the sub-bass boost section of True Bass. Make sure the setting to reduce the boost effect for already loud bass is maxed out and play with the threshold.

Yea, Even if you make bass to be enoughly good, then you will realize it's just damn too much for other tracks ;)
That track is nice example, there is much better examples tho, for example 'TJR - What's Up Suckaz', I can make that bass and kicks perfectly good even in very loud overall preset, but for everything else, bass is just too much. Still fighting with it with some custom 2 bass bands in MB..
