So this means that if i reduce the LOW or the Highs more on Loudness i will have more room to all sound and high as well?
If you reduce the LOWs you'll usually hear the reduced bass immediately. Or the extra bass if you increase it. That's because the bass level is usually pretty constant, and very high.
i dont mind to reduce bass if i can use BassBooster... can i ?
If you reduce the HIGHs it usually only affects REALLY loud tones, mostly 'S' sounds. That's hardly noticeable, and doesn't affect most of the sound. (With the mentioned settings I'm getting extremely close to the Orban frequency content, despite the -16000). I beleive that StereoTool can produce better sound than Orban, am i right?

Also, for lower Loudness settings, these sliders have (nearly) no effect.

I notice that with 3band AGC the sound, sounds better...
One more thing i noticed is that, where the track has more Vocals (mids) this setting make the voice sound very loud...

this i noticed so far i am listening...

I did some checks, and with these settings, if loud highs are present, ALL the sounds come out a bit softer in Stereo Tool than in the Orban. It's not a dramatic difference - 1-2 dB - but still it's there and it probably shouldn't be.

I'm not going to fix this before creating the 5.10 release, but I'll keep it in mind for future updates.

(It's probably as simple as boosting all the sounds when loud 'S' sounds are present - I'm already doing that but apparently not enough, or at least not if the highs are set this loud).

Except for these 'S' sounds, if I use headphones and play the Orban on one ear and Stereo Tool on the other, I cannot hear any difference (for the one track I've used for testing, that is - pressing MONO on my amplifier also doesn't make a difference). So these settings are really close. Tested using track 3. (There are some phase shift issues between the recordings, but I removed them with Stereo Tool before comparing the two versions).

Could you describe 'better'?

Cleaner, more constant, less highs (but you already mentioned that you want more so that's probably not it), ...?

Cleaner less lows on 2Band

less clean on vocals with better lows on 3band

So.. 2Band on Agc sounds better.
I am trying -10000 on Loudness, in order to find the best Mids and Highs and then i will try BassBooster to boost bass cause is low..

Hi Hans,

A few presets created with 5.10b19 and could be used for pop webradio:
Marino's Poppy -> nice for regular pop songs
Marino's Poppy-Soft -> nice for soft pop songs (Tracy Chapman, Crowded House)
Marino's Leveler -> sometimes you just need a leveler with a bit bass and stereo enhancement.

Enjoy!
