Hi Hans,

Nice job with the 5.10B15. Tuned a few presets for this beta:

* Updated 'Marino's Urban' -> nice for Rap, Hiphop. I bit distortion on the low end for a raw sound
* New preset 'Marino's Sensation' -> nice for house, club (Sensation White, Pete Tong)

Hope you like them.

I've been listening for a couple hours now, and I hear very minimal artifacts with my preset and my "stress" of 32kbps HE-AAC V1.

Very nice with this build, Hanz!

When flipping between traditional output singleband compressor/limiter and AGC-style (output), while adjusting levels, my Stereo Tool stopped output. I had to stop and restart the plugin.
I was afraid that this would happen. But when I tested it a lot of times I never saw it, so I didn't bother trying to solve (what I suspected to be) risky code. Now I will (added to TODO list).

Seems better constancy with 'FLAT FREQUENCY RESPONSE'...
Great :-)

Do you still want/need a 65 kHz band now?

I have not put my 2 cents worth in until now but I have to say this is by far the best sounding build to date (5.10-16b). I am using ST for North American 75uS fm stereo and this latest build gives me the closest to the original CD sound with the least artifacts. Well done hanz!
BTW I am using a preset based on the FM transmitter (US soft)

edit: I tried to reproduce the bugs encountered by SuperH and Bojcha but I had no problems with ST.
I also play some Hip Hop music on my station so a 65 Hz band would be great to get those sub-woofers boom'n :D

The mentioned hangups should be fixed.
Also, there's now a new slider in Multiband where you can choose between strict clipping not so strict clipping.

At 100%, the behavior is roughly identical to that of pre-BETA13 (or so) versions
At 0%, the peak level will be much higher (not very useful).
Around 10%, for MOST sounds the peak level is nearly identical, but for 'difficult' sounds (xylophones etc.) the peak level is still a lot higher. But there are less Loudness artifacts - for all sounds (although difficult sounds should benefit more).

I still need to add something to Hard Limit to make it respond slower to loud peaks. When that works, the volume for difficult sounds will be (slightly) lower when you choose a low value for the new slider - currently that's also the case but loud spikes aren't handles very smoothly by Hard Limit, which results in some (mild) bass artifacts.

athl0n a user with 3 posts here has Beta 16 approx. 3 hours and 25 minutes before Hans linked Beta 16 (gave the information about the existence of Beta 16) !

What is happening here ?

Ok, I have to admit that from time I also try to download the next Beta by editing (BETA510-xy+1) the latest download link.
But 3 hours and 25 minutes ?

This slider is not in Multiband it is in Limiting and Loudness.
I guess Hans was a little bit tired after he put his energy in the latest Beta improvements.

With Beta 16 I had this problem again that output stopped completely.
Though it seems as if it is not necessary to restart the plugin.
I have loaded other presets but the output kept quiet.
Then I pressed "Reset" and that helped (output reactivated).
Now I can load presets and switch from AGC style to Singleband without any problem.

This new Flat Frequency Response is indeed a great improvement.

Hans, you asked Bojcha if he still wants a 65 Hz band.
Let me answer.
I still vote for additional bands (12 or 13 bands as I have already described in my earlier posts) .... for Stereo Tool v6 or v7 !!!

V6 ?
I want a V6 !

I have a new problem (with Beta 16):

When I move in Multiband the up speed (decay) or the down speed sliders (linked) to the max there is no way back from total distortion (up speed at max).
I still can move the sliders down, but without any effect to the processing (still distorted).

Pressing "Reset" does not help.
I have to reload Stereo Tool plugin !

But I don't care, because I like this new Flat Frequency Response so much.

Hanzzzzzzzzzzzzzzssssssssssssss !!! :D

EDIT:
There are still problems (dead output) when I change values for Singleband !

Ok, I do confess I have downloaded Beta 16 a few minutes before Hans linked the download here (after I had read that athl0n already used it).
Hans, do you have built different Betas 16 and replaced the download with a fixed version before you finally posted the download link here ?
I have already downloaded Beta 16 again, but I am now too tired* to check if this is different from the one I have used.

*the truth is I have to go to church know and pray (or preach ?)......

There was no (or at least should not have been a) 5.10-16 version before I linked it (well, maybe a minute or so, definitely not 3 hours - I assumed that athl0n means 5.10-15).

I'll have to look into the other issues - I did notice some strange behavior when moving the Multiband sliders (somehow they didn't stay locked together anymore), so that might be related to this.

I don't understand the singleband issue (yet) - will also check that.
