Good afternoon,

I would like to use some tools from StereoTool that require a license. Since I want to process several things at the same time (on one PC) (about 10), I wanted to ask if one license is enough.

Kind regards

Hi, is this for something like streaming? If it's just file based processing with a VST plugin or WatchCat and want to run them in parallel on multiple CPU cores, you only need one, but if you run them side-by-side for processing streams, you need a license per instance.

For 10 separate streams you need 10 licenses.

Hey,

how are we going to pay for it? We are students and pay about 200 Euro per month for the music alone. A license in our case costs about 270€ and that times 10? Is there no discount for students?

We do not offer student discounts. For 10 licenses you can get a volume discount, though. Contact us through support at thimeo.com to discuss.

Note that software isn't free to develop. It may look easy on the outside but it takes huge amounts of time and effort to build and maintain a product. Hans has got employees to pay who in turn have to pay for mortgages. To me, and this is my personal opinion, it is always a little strange to see people pay for expensive hardware devices, microphones, music licenses etc without a single thought, and then suddenly software has to be "free". For just 13 months of your music costs you'd have 10 life-time licenses, and that's before volume discounts.

If you find it too expensive you can always call any Omnia dealer and ask for a quotation for 10 Omnia.9, they use the same declipper and clipper 😁😁😁

Oh, sorry I confused this with another software, so if the licenses are lifetime, that's fine, better than buying more expensive hardware that takes up space, that's more expensive, and Stereotool has lifetime updates inclusive.
