Hm... All you would hear would be distortion. What do you want to use this for?

I see you put in a digital option. Will this send mpx over digital? And will this take in a digital signal on s/pdif add rds to it and output digital. If so, I will be testing as right now I have a d/a converstion happening at my omnia so I can mix the RDS into the stream, then MPX out to the transmitter. However my transmitter can decode 192k digital so with that being said, if i can process digital audio and add RDS to it, that would be awesome.

Feature Request: RT+ RDS Page in the software.

I'd like a page specficially for RT+ that would allow implementation of RT+ with separated fields.
The fields should be able to accept any of the RT+ codes from the pira.cz/rds/rtpclass.php page.

Have the page be setup where you enable rds+ then have say Option 1, RDS Artists, input box (allow for input from a text file) then repeat with option 2.
That would be awesome. I'm trying to integrate a simian broadcaster with this and the way I currently feed my RDS is via a text file generated by Simian.

I see theres tons of options, you can pass everything from station long/short names to info, id's, etc....

Hi Chris, what do you mean by 'digital option'? 192 kHz digital just needs to be supported by your sound card, that's out of Stereo Tool's control.

Well right now my transmitter is being fed via the mpx out on st due to having no way to integrate RDS into the digital stream physically.
However if ST will output RDS on SP/DIF I can convert this over to AES/EBU and insert it into my stream.

Also i can't tell if RT+ is working but i'm now seeing 3A tags and 12A in my stream.

Will this line work to send RT and RT+

R: is the drive that \title.txt and \artistyear.txt exist on.

ST should output RDS on SP/dif if your sound card allows it...

Yes, your string should work - in fact if you could generate a .txt with the \+ and \- symbols in it that works as well.

Edit: You are aware that the ( and ) are part of the track name the way your string is setup?

That page doesn't exist and I couldn't find a list elsewhere on the site.

About the options: As far as I can see in the specs, I can send 2 items with RT+, it's unclear if I can send more (it would make sense, but some required info is missing).

This is the problem:
1. I need to send an RT text, and for each RT text I can tell the receiver that it needs to look at 2 locations for items.
2. If I send another RT text, the spec doesn't say if the old or the new locations are used. That's annoying and problematic. Right now - based on the behavior in the program RDSSpy - my current solution (first send the new locations, then the new RT text) seems to work best. If I would want to send more items, I don't really know how to do that without getting the wrong values displayed.


If you have another encoder that supports RT+ and can analyse it with RDSSpy, I would be interested in seeing the data that it produces (MPX audio recording would suffice). I'll check if stations on-air here are sending out RT+ info, they probably are... - but I need to check if they send out more than 2 items.
