I am not a real software specialist. What I did, I followed the beta testing for version 7,41.
On a certain moment I could nu run Stereotool anymore. Even when I unistall it.
So at the end I search my register for "stereotool" and removed al the entry`s

Installed stereotool 7.41 (stand alone) entered my registration code and it worked!

Hello All,

I had also the problem stereotool crashed all the time. What I did is remove all the register (regedit) edits and then installed stereotool again.
This solved my problem.

Maybe it could help you?
Which regedit settings? Stereo Tool should only put the install directory there for the uninstaller, nothing else!
And with which version was this?

Now I'm guessing that you probably had some other program (for example a virus scanner) that got confused my the large number of updates and blocked ST...

Someone else to test ST with VLC stream and see the buffer is emptying ?

May be Hans must enable the synchro to the links/streams too?

Please tell me your config, so maybe i can test your setup.
I mean, if i put an steaming encoder on my ST system i have no problems what so ever.
So i think you have to be more specific regarding your ST / Encoder setup..

Jeroen.

ST encoder setup ? It`s the ST stand alone .
I`m talkin about to use the internal option to call the VLC player and put some link of stream in the place to play , so the Synchro option is disabled then. And my buffer is emptying , what to explain more ? Nevermind the other things

Thank you

After talking to phantomfm:
- ASIO gets a long latency when normal sound card access is also used (for example ASIO for FM out, normal for Normal Out)
- When changing the buffer size to a low value, and then increasing it again, the keeps having hiccups - pressing RESTART SOUND CARDS helps but that should happen automatically when the buffer size is changed.
- During the hiccups, the ASIO sound card (which is not in use) plays plopping sounds.
- Restarting caused a BSOD twice on Win7 + Marian card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never seen it either - yes Win7...

I don't think that I have really tested non-ASIO output combined with ASIO output in version 7.41 though, so I will do that asap.
