I again will propose a slider for hold multiplier like attack and release ones. Think it not cost anything.

make a better stereo enchancer, like the 222A Or the Stereomaxx with wide limiter.

Good. It will be useful :)
Look at the list also. Looks like these issues will tweak the GUI and performance at all. So then Hans to be free to look at the "blop" filters in MB :)
Will stay calm and see the process

By the way, 45% of the CPU cycles are now spent in an external Intel library that I have no influence on (except calling it less often of course), so improving things is getting increasingly harder.
Might be time to revisit the 13 vs. 10.1 compiler situation. I mean for future enhancements, not for this release. Then with that, I also don't mean 5-10 releases down the road, but stopping after this release and trying to figure out that issue.
I could try that later. Just want to mention that chances are that for older systems, it kinda makes sense that performance is getting worse, Intel is dropping support for older CPU's pretty fast. For example, the library that I use (IPP) which is now using 43% (not 45) of the total CPU load is a version from several years ago, it's the last version with properly optimized SSE2 support. Newer versions "assume" that you have at least SSE3, and if you don't you get some fallback SSE2 code that is not very well optimized anymore.
Could you try making a build using the newer IPP version? Reason is, many of the later K8 cores, including many X2 models, as well as my own single core model, have SSE3 support. Mine does, Bojcha's does, and gpagliaroli's does.

As for the Intel compiler update, the potential issue with looking into it later is that if code has to be rewritten, the longer you wait, the more potential code rewritting would need to be done.

I really need to make a list of things that need to be fixed before I can release this version. Please let me know if I miss anything:
- Median display for both multibands.

- Proper updating of my Cobalt preset. I am going to post one more version, which all but eliminates overshoots in the generic form of the preset. What you have as built-in is at least 2 versions back, if not 3 versions. In it, you left pre-emphasis enabled for the generic version, as well as increased the Simple Clipper volume adjustment, making it probably the loudest generic preset, and causing it to overshoot much, much easier.

Something is wrong with the dsp version, at least with my settings, which worked fine with beta52
No output, flickering in the MB levels display, Advanced clipper full colored display

VST works fine in Audition, same settings

AMD A8-3870 , win7 64
Try reducing Advanced Clipper CPU from 9 to 6 or 7. Also, do you need oversampled limiting and clipping?

The only issue I had with your settings was the same issue as with any heavy usage of the new multiband, which is stuttering output due to overloaded CPU. I turned off declipper, oversampling, and reduced the CPU setting to 7 and have CPU load of 85ish, but no output problems otherwise.

@Hans - this is another 1MB L2 per core processor. It would also be another candidate for testing a SSE3 build with the newer IPP libraries.

Wow, not THAT is surprising! I've tried the SSE3 and even the SSE4.1 version in the version of IPP that I currently use, and when I did I could not measure any performance difference compared to the SSE2 version, and the same was true with compiler settings (although, with all the optimizations going on now it might be interesting to retest that one).

It needs to be updated anyway now (it's still based on the old multiband). But I'm not going to do that for the next release... Later!
