Solved. Also fixed that part of the bars were not redrawn in 1-channel mode. (Still remaining: The 2nd channel stays at the last position when you play 1-channel audio.)

That is displayed - they light up brighter, same as clipping in the old MB.
Strange they are working now with the preset from Bojcha that i'm testing. Before it didn't displayed them.
Found it: It's not displayed with samplerate of 192 kHz.
Will also check[/color]

Still no sound in VST Version in Adobe Audition 3.0. This is really strange.
Is this still the case?

may be for the "blob blob" effect on the both places you use same code for the two filters and the effect is the same .. must look into it , because the bass is not clear this way. But i know you will find the bug for this ringing on a bit higher frequencies after the bass.

No there's really a weird sound in Bass Boost. More noticeable if you use DIFF - so it's probably not THAT much of an issue.

Everythinh is working fine for me in terms of usabillity except for the equalizer. Drawing it, is not for me.

Maybe - I'm just sugessting something and could be completly wrong - to be in the same usabillity of all the other things it could be with normal sliders etc like this

you want to equalize the 150hz with 10db

then there should be a slider like this:
''box1'' 100 hz ''box2'' 200hz ''box3'' 10db
or
box1'' 140hz box2'' 160hz box3'' 10dB

The numbers you put in box 1 and 2 determine the ''angle'' off the ''boost''.

so the middle of the 2numbers is the one you want to equalize, and the other numbers determine the steepness

and then something like 10 band equalizer with amount of band being adjustable.

I hope it's clear what I mean......

Ah, i though on MB bands (but that's also fixed now in b40). Yes, Bass boost has those artifacts from long time ago. Luckily i will never use it anymore :)

I'm measuring a 20% total CPU load increase when using the new MB vs. the old one, and that's based on 5 bands. With 9 bands it's even 45%. So I guess I need to try to optimize it (the singleband compressor, which is the cause of the increase) a bit more.

Ah, due to the improvements I did earlier the difference with version 7.03 is smaller than this:
- 11.5% for 5 bands
- 24% for 9 bands

Not great, but not as bad as it seemed to be. But there must be some opportunities for improvement (among others, simplify the signal level analysis method).

There are more people who are saying this. To me, drawing is much easier than having to set a whole lot of siders - you can easily make *any* frequency response that you like, without having to think how separate bands of a parametric equalizer will affect each other etc. It also resembles a lot how you can eq a file in CoolEdit for example (although you have to set points there, it's not freeformat drawing).

So I'm curious what others think...
