If you could send me one of those recordings where the highs go down too much, I'll take a look to see if moving phase rotation could help. But I would really prefer not moving it.

BTW: There's still a Multiband redesign planned, the new Multiband should act on RMS level instead of peak level, and that would fix this issue completely.

Believe it or not but I just trashed the first 33rpm LP. The hardest thing to do. It seemed like my wife washed it with a brush, unbearable.
No use in recording it in mp3 it looked and sounded like a badly biased class AB amplifier. It's gone now... sigh.
Couldn't part from the cover.

Bass boost is fixed but NOT when you enable 'Play only bass'. Building now.
Ok, beta110
Here is Bass boost ON with 200-300Hz and Band pass ON with 0-300Hz.
I have this...

http://www9.zippyshare.com/v/7836647/file.html
15sec 1024 Latency and 15sec 4096 Latency
Trying the same settings here, no issue at all?! While your sample sounds absolutely horrible. Which track are you playing?

Combined with Luke's complaint about robot sounds I'm starting to wonder if there's some hard to reproduce bug somewhere that pops up in different situations.

On average, loud audio comes out 0.3 dB louder at 100%. But there's clearly more distortion, so you probably don't want to set it much higher than 10%, and 0% is usually the best unless you are in an extremely competitive market (with regard to audio level) or you _want_ (?) the extra distortion.
Thans for your reply.
So this thing is nothing for me. :-) I just trying to reach average DR8 with best sound quality. I using stereo tool for normal listening (audio enhancing and declipping), and occasional streaming my very amateur statinon... nothing serious :-D

Maybe I upload my non-competitive preset to this forum when final version 6.20 will be released.
For now, this preset sounds like: http://www19.zippyshare.com/v/44053940/file.html

I hear it almost always. Anyway here is sample and preset. So in ST just change from 1024 to 4096 and turn OFF and ON Bass Boost.
Choosed this one, where about 3 weird effects are present. rrr.rrr.rr and 'bad-mp3-like' and distortion-like.

For better expirience, set bass level on your amplifier at minimum. :)

edit:
Insteresting is that at 128000Hz.. it's almost gone. Even 512 samples sounds much better then other rates.

Moving the HPF before Multiband makes the filter much weaker and increases artifacts. Say there's a tone at 30 Hz, and the HPF is configured to filter at 35 Hz. Then the 30 Hz tone will be reduced by - say - 4 dB. And there will be artifacts. Next, Multiband will increase the 30 Hz tone again so in effect nothing happened - except that the artifacts are still there. On top of that, Multiband and Bass Boost can cause new low frequency signals that won't be removed if the HPF filtering is done before it. (I just discovered this, see my response to eldoradofm).
I think you need to be more clear on things, unless I'm the one that doesn't understand...

In this post, you indicate that "HPF" is not currently before Multiband, however a few posts up, you say that HPF is the "very first filter in the chain".

The way I understand things is if you take the NON-Phase Linear HPF, it is before Multiband, but the Phase Linear HPF is after Multiband. Is this correct?

It would probably be helpful for a current flow diagram / UML Activity Diagram (or at least a text version), if you don't feel that's giving away too much info.

Yes, sorry that must have been very unclear indeed.

You snuck in before my edit.

Any chance at some sort of diagram of the flow?

Bojcha, are you sure that you've tested with BETA110? With older BETA's I hear those bad effects, but in 110 they are gone, also if I use your file + preset...
