Hi, I am looking for a way to generate mpx files and save them (.wav or whatever). Is this possible with StereoTool? Thanks, Temu |

Simplest way is to record from ST FM Output, ofc 192kHz/mono, via VAC or your soundcard. |

Hi Bojcha, Thanks! I have never used a VAC (virtual audio cable), but this seems to be exactly what I need. Temu |

Alternative (free) method is to convert your input to 192 kHz, then play it in Winamp with the Stereo Tool Winamp plugin - NOT using Direct Sound Card Access - and write the Winamp output to a file. |

I play the files with winamp and the dsp version of stereotool.i choose by FM soundcard the VAC line 2 (set it up with 192 khz in windows audio) and try to record with audacity vac line 2 input. this doens't work. Must i use the standalone version from stereotool? |

I played music using winamp and the fading plugin and recorded it in audacity using virtual audio cable. I have that file saved with watchcat as wav with the option at stereotool "fm mpx" when I upload that file to micrompx it says that the file is not good. it's like 172 kHz. now i have to convert with again with dbpoweramp to pcm wav 192khz. only then will it be played in micrompx. |

Can't get this to work.ST is set to 192 kHz, VAC and Voicemeeter are setup to accept 192 kHz. I've tried both VAC and VoiceMeeter Virtual I/O, when I record using Audacity, the spectrum does show a nice 19 kHz pilot, but my sterero L/R and RDS are no longer there. I remember there was something in Windows that might filter out > 20 kHz? Or is it Audacity? Project is set to 192 kHz |
