So I'd like you guys to listen to my web stream stations now using the latest 6.10 ST with a tweaked preset. I use winamp and the ST plugin. I don't use the EQ or any other sound changing elements within Winamp. I just pass the sound through ST and let it do all the sound effects then right to Eddcast to stream over ShoutCast. Let me know how it sounds and if you think I need to change anything. Thanks again.

Thanks for any and all input/comments you may have.

Edit: Updated to 6.20 release. I'm using a tweaked version of the web stream low compression preset. Updated to the new Edcast (The continued project). Got a better sound card in there as well. Let me know what you guys think of the sound now.

Thank you, Garfield. Question, what do you mean when you say overshot?

Thanks again.

Edit: Did you mean http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overshoot_%28signal%29 "overshoot"? If so what is a good way to solve this issue with ST? Sorry I know I'm a noob. Just trying to learn as much as I can, and I know the ppl here are some of the best ppl in the field for information. :) Thanks again.

Well I put together a Q6600 Intel, 4GB RAM, new Gigabyte mobo. I can now use 6.30 and it uses 15-18% CPU. The new version does sound really good. Links are the same. Check it out and let me know what ya think.

Thanks again Hans for giving me something to geek out about. ;)

Amazing, just amazing! With everything loaded, all my extra plugins, ST 6.30, Winamp, Scrobbling, edcast, crossfader, and everything else with my new system (Intel Q6600 quad, Win7, 8 GB ram, bunch of hard drives (its also my main server for media sharing)) it runs @ 8-12% CPU usage. On my old machine (P4 HT 3.4ghz) the new version ran with everything ran up to 80% and would bog down. I had to use 6.21 on that one to keep it stable. The sound is sooo much better with 6.30 that it was well worth the new system. Just thought I would share. I also just use your Web streaming, loudness, low compression preset with some tweaks here and there. I can't thank you enough, Hans. You made a hobby turn into something else completely different. It's now an obsession. :) One request I have is if you Hans, or someone else with a good ear could log in to my two streams and let me know what you think about the sound. I play every type of music. So, take a listen to a few songs since most are MP3 source usually really high bitrate source. Let me know if there is anything you'd suggest.

Thank you very much to Hans, and the rest of the people who have helped me along on these great forums here.

Updated to 6.32!!! Sound is has improved quite a bit since previous versions. This time around I didn't do any of the betas, so I went right from 6.31 to 6.32. The highs are soooo clear now, and mixed very well with the lows, and mids. I don't hear anymore dropping of mids when there is a lot of bass, or a lot of highs! Thanks again Hans for all your hard work, and your smarts with audio!
