Post subject:  Stereotool Raspberry Pi uMPX Livewire

I was wondering if the Raspberry pi version of Stereotool will work without the Hifiberry soundcard (or any soundcard), using the following method of use:
Audio input - Livewire
Transport to transmitter - uMPX

If this does work, can the livewire and uMPX use the same NIC if the Livewire input and uMPX are all on the same network (internal)?

Thx

Greg

I dont think the livewire driver would work properly with the ethernet on a PI as the PI's ethernet ( on 1,2,3) are USB power ethernet

I doubt it could deal with the amount of packets required .. even in standard stereo.

You could easily use a PC running linux or windows with micrompx

I am already running this scenario on a windows machine but I was looking for something with no moving parts !
PC's have been unreliable at best.
