I'm trying to use the alpha trace in umpx however when I activate the sound card in 192khz the connection hangs and doesn't come out while in realtek it works perfectly, I'm using the last sound card driver could someone help me?

Stay this way and only connect if you put in the trace asio option!
I would like to use it as output because of the quality and output impedance of 75ohms!

Help!

When activated, the card is at 48hz even in its settings and Windows is at 192khz, as shown in the image, but when you close the umpx decoder the status of the card goes back to 192khz, that is, the umpx decoder is not making it work at 192khz.

Check the maximum samplerate setting in the Marian settings. By default, it does NOT allow running at 192 even if it's set to 192 in Windows.

Also, this really sounds like driver issues. If I try to use the Marian in my development pc in ASIO mode I immediately get a BSOD... :(

So it's a driver error? should I contact Marian? Shouldn't it work with umpx? :(

If the card is displayed in the list of sound cards in MicroMPX, then the driver reported that the card is capable of running at 192 kHz. MicroMPX always opens the sound card in 192 kHz mode, which should either fail (if for some reason the card cannot run at 192 kHz even though it reported that it could), or succeed and run at 192 kHz. I have never seen this fail with Marian cards, except when in the driver settings, 192 kHz mode is disabled.

To check that, click on the Marian icon in the system tray and open Settings. In Operating mode select "Upto 192 kHz".

A succesful open and then running at 48 kHz makes no sense as far as our software is concerned, so that has to be a driver issue.

Exactly when the umpx is closed the status is 192khz when I open it with the trace as the output card in asio is 48hz, I've tested all the drivers from 301 to the last! send an e-mail to Marian.de support asking for help or a new driver for windows 10, even though it is out of line, an excellent card like this can't stay like this!

NOTE: even in the windows settings I put 24-bit 192000hz

I'm going to test the driver that my colleague told me to see if it works.

Do you use Trace Alpha with windows 10 pro and it is configured in umpx?
Could you share the board's configuration?

Marian sent me this email :?

Currently, I can not see where this problem leads to the Trace Alpha. The error messages from the log of umpx do not necessarily hint to the driver to be the problem.

On the screenshot I see that the Trace Alpha clock is at 48kHz. Again: in the case of ASIO, these settings are governed by the ASIO application (umpx in this case). The settings in the windows control panel DO NOT apply! Consequently, 192kHz has either not been set in umpx or the communication between umpx and the asio driver of the Trace Alpha is not in accordance to the asio standard.
I strongly suppose, that the device that umpx is trying to open with ASIO is already in use somewhere else... e.g. if it is selected as standard playback/recording device in the windows control panel.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen | With best regards

And interestingly, I tested the umpx decoder in a simple interface and it worked but not like ASIO! :(
