Post subject: | uMPX Backup Player |
This is not my first post - my account got deleted. I've been using ST since 2010 at least! I cannot get Backup Player in uMPX to work - is there a particular file format it expects, or file-naming convention or characters it does not like? I'm using C:\File-Name.mp3 - Even with "Play backup file now" ticked it does not play. The file plays fine in Groove music on the same PC. - It does not say it cannot find the file in the log. - I've tried setting timeout to minimum and "Act as each dropout last" to maximum 60s. - The measured loss counts up towards 100% but never quite gets there. I can't see any info on this feature in the documentation. Any advice appreciated |

I changed the file type to wav and then it told me it expects a 192kbps mono file. When I give it that (an mp3) it still gives an error about a header format or something, yet all the files I give it play perfectly in in-built windows players. uMPX seems VERY fussy what sort of audio file it wants. Does anyone know the secret formula?! |

Atleast there is some player. ST does not have it at all. I need to keep external player in background looping list with vac on ST. Also it does not work well with asio and input buffer is full after a day, no matter what. Anyway i generaly dont care about uMPX, but maybe it asks for 192kHz file? not 192kbps. |

Like Bojcha said - you need to run mono wav file at 192Khz sample rate. You can pre-record MPX signal processed through ST and record it.

Digging out this topic. Can I use the ST commandline version to generate an MPX file? Recording it in realtime is a bit tedious. |
